Little Room!

Hey guys so I was wondering if any of you could help with decorating my little room. Ill post updates as we decorate and all that jazz! So far I know I want a really girly princessy, room with some of the little things I like such as Hello Kitty, Sofia the First, Shopkins stuffs like that! So far I have a pink futon for nap time. And a pink princess blanket. I can post pictures of those once they come in the mail! Lol. But yeah any suggestions? I need soem inspiration and who better to ask than my fellow littles! :3

Kids character sheets and stuff. Maybe go to target or Wal-Mart for decorations. I know if we had the room we would have a big totoro sunbed.

I have decorated mine with stuffies, wall scrolls, posters, fluffy cuddly blankes and pillows, a mushroom chair, christmas lights and candles. MY little space is my shared room with Woof, since he has a smaller room for all of his computer things and hobbies, we agreed that our room can be my little space.

I have a king size tempurpedic bed as well, the sun comes in and warms up my bed at approximately 3:30 pm when its sunny out, it is perfect. I would look up ideas and such online, browse Etsy and Amazon and store websites to see if theres anything you like. Target has a contract with Sanrio so they always have cute hello kitty things (the hello kitties without janky eyelashes)

I saw this list on tumblr and thought I would post it here for you or anyone else who needs ideas:

 

- add a canopy above your bed

- make a permanent blanket fort/reading nook

- glow in the dark stars!!!

- christmas lights

- cute throw pillows

- fluffy rugs… make the floor comfy to crawl around!

- foam puzzle piece floor mats work great and are cheap

- disney posters

- get cute bedding and if you can’t do that just get a cheap kids blanket from walmart and cover your bed with that

- add cute details like an animal shaped lamp

- or a snow globe!!

- don’t forget a nightlight 

- display some kids books on your book shelf

- consider having a toy chest

- try peel and stick wall murals 

- try a beaded curtain

- paint glitter on things

- display any pictures you coloured

This all looks so cute! I'm redoing my bedroom soon too. My teenage daughter thinks I'm weird for adding pink and little stuff to my room but I don't care...it's my space and retreat from adulting. I'm finding Homegoods to be the most dangerous place for me...they have the cutest stuff in their kids department. I have a king sized bed so no cute sheets for me but I found an adorable full/queen comforter set in pink and white stripes on clearance that I'm going to use on top of my regular bedding. So excited! I hope everyone has the opportunity to create their own little space. ♥

oh most definitely. i have a floor plan for it and everything heehee (i have an interior design kit that i got a few years back and i used it to design a little room haha)

I'm brainstorming more ideas here to add to my previous list from tumblr.

 

- Put up posters of your favourite little things and movies

- Pick out poster frames and then spray paint them pastel colours and frame your posters

- Get one of those short kids bookshelves and just have colouring books on it!!!

- Cute laundry bins

- Consider replacing boring hardware (doorknobs, ect.) for cuter ones!

- To make the floor extra squishy, you can always sylishly layer colourful rugs

- Replace ceiling lighting for a small and cheap chandelier

- Have a clothing rack to display your favourite clothing

- Set up a floor length mirror beside the clothing rack or in the corner for dress up

- You can also wrap Christmas lights around the mirror

- Lots of stuffed animals

- Cute kids book ends

- For your walls you can paint them a pastel colour, paint them with stencils, put up cute wallpaper, paint wall murals, or even put wall stickers on

 

ALSO! Pro tip: When I'm decorating my room (or cleaning it for that matter) I think about pleasing all 5 senses. So making it look nice, feel comfy, smell nice, put on some nice music, and maybe having a yummy snack somewhere.

Yes! I have a boring but practical black dresser in my room. I didn't want to replace it (because a big sturdy piece of furniture like that is expensive!) but I also wanted it to match a little better with my cute vintage-style vanity. So, I compromised by getting new drawer pulls on ebay! These are the ones I bought and they were only about $2 each!

I still haven't decided whether I'll leave them white or paint them black to match the dresser.... I love the gold on the edges, but it might look strange if it stands out too much against the black dresser... I'll have to see.

 

Also if you're going for more of a dollhouse look rather than a princess room or kid's room, doilies! Lots and lots of doilies and lace table runners for putting on top of your dressers or side tables!

Thats really interesting about the dresser. I have this vintage baby pink dresser with gold drawer pulls in me and Daddys bedroom but Im thinking of moving it in my little room. Im going for a more childish room instea dof dollhouse. Porcelin Dolls creep me out a little bit lol. Ill post pictures when i can of the dresser if you guys want to see! just let me know!

Hii!

 

My room is already super little space, but the walls were blue and more of a space theme (which is cute), but I decided I really am more into pink and girly stuff and would like my room to be like that too.

So in september I'm going to paint my walls pink and I'm going to get a new big classical vanity and a new bed.

 

Right now these are my choices:

IKEA toddler bed (I'm small enough that I fit in it and actually slept in it once, bc my nephew has one too)
