Hey im new to ddlg and im struggling to be a good daddy dom. I have good days and then i have some really off days where im not consistant. I love the concept of rhis and my partner is amazing. So i guess my question is how can i better myself and be more dominant when im not naturally dominant?

Start easy, and work your way into it. A great place to start is a set of rules for both of you. Communicate, communicate, communicate. There is no right or wrong way, just try to improve on consistancy, and make sure you are both getting the things you need. Keep an open mind, and explore the lifestyle together.

Also, don't confuse dominance with aggression. If you make rules and set set consequences, it'll go a long way. Also, some little are better guided with praise and reward than just punishment, and obedience. You need to find a middle grid between your needs, and work from there.

Consistency is as youve correctly identified a key area and essentially its down to discipline; control over yourself to ensure you always make the correct ammount of effort not just to enforce rules (which is an area many people fall down on) but also making sure you are there for them whenever they need you not just when its convenient to you and you're in a good mood etc So developing that mental strength and avoiding ever giving in to the little voice say sod it it wont matter this once is a big step.   Also dont try and be something you are not; dont force it; keep an open mind and you'll surprise yourself; everything is a learning experience youve just got to keep your eyes and mind open to absorb it.
