Guest Little-Lelia Posted May 11, 2016 Report Posted May 11, 2016 Any daddies/mommies or little that are Catholic and really in love with their faith? I'm just curious if there's anyone else like me. 1
Guest FrenchDaddy Posted May 11, 2016 Report Posted May 11, 2016 (edited) I think there are caregivers and littles/middles who are catholics, protestants, jews, pagans, agnostics, atheists, etc. The most important is that you feel well amongst us (And yes I'm a catholic even though I become more and more lutheran with time, maybe in part because I could listen to Bach exclusively). Guest little domi Posted May 11, 2016 Report Posted May 11, 2016 I grew up going to Mass (Catholic) and stuff, but I'm more spiritual now.
cutie_patootie Posted May 11, 2016 Report Posted May 11, 2016 (edited) I attend a wonderful church and it's such a welcoming place, one of our mottos/slogans is No Perfect People Allowed. The message each Sunday is always relevant and the people are wonderful and inviting. Rather than a choir singing ancient hymns that drone on and on, we have live bands (I'm a vocalist in one of them) playing contemporary Christian music such as Paul Baloche, Chris Tomlin, Mercy Me, Newsboys, etc. We do have an occasional hymn, depending on the service and the time of year but it's never dull or boring. Our youth and kids programs are amazing! I've always felt accepted for who I am (I'm lesbian) and have never been made to feel out of place or uncomfortable. Check out the website... https://creeksidechurch.ca/ And btw, I respect and am accepting of everyone's choice of religion or non-religion/non-believers and I don't push my faith on anyone. However, I will answer anyone's questions about my beliefs if they approach me politely. What I don't like is people who make fun of me or other Christ followers just because of my/our beliefs. Gregisthedaddy Posted May 11, 2016 Report Posted May 11, 2016 You can be anything and into DDLG We have some people here that are awesome and some that are completely socially inept. And yet they like DDLG
Guest Little-Lelia Posted May 11, 2016 Report Posted May 11, 2016 I do feel welcome amongst this whole community but I just wanted to know if there were any practicing Catholics that really loved their faith. 1
Guest sirdude77 Posted May 11, 2016 Report Posted May 11, 2016 (edited) My ex- was very catholic. Went to a private hs, then a private college. She still follows it passionately. Edited May 11, 2016 by sirdude77
littlelili Posted May 12, 2016 Report Posted May 12, 2016 I am Catholic. Born and raised that way and still loving my faith ^^
gah!ghost Posted May 12, 2016 Report Posted May 12, 2016 Though I am an atheist ashwee (my SO) is Catholic and my mother was raised Catholic. I am not an empty air pounding atheist btw, just thought it was worth noting especially since we have pretty opposing religious beliefs and it's never an issue.
cutie_patootie Posted May 13, 2016 Report Posted May 13, 2016 (edited) Mr. ghost... I think the most important thing to take away from this (in my humble opinion) is that we should respect each other's choices with regard to religious beliefs or non-beliefs. And it seems that you and ashwee have done an admirable job of that as you obviously love each other despite different religious beliefs. I sincerely believe that as long as we respect each other's beliefs and opinions on a myriad of topics, we can disagree without hurting one another. Sometimes that can be easier said than done but all we can do is try, try and try again... then forgive each other's mistakes. Edited May 13, 2016 by cutie_patootie
MasterJamoras Posted May 14, 2016 Report Posted May 14, 2016 I am actually a born and raised still practicing Catholic! Honestly, there was a lot of doubt in my mind that there was be anyone in the ddlg community that would be Catholic. I'm not saying that I am prejudice against other religions or beliefs it's just a lot of times when I speak to others (Catholic or otherwise) about my ddlg thoughts I'm often called out on or met with ignorance (which I know is not true I'm just mostly paraphrasing). While I know ignorance is common for people outside ddlg I've been straight up told I'm a terrible person that hates my faith (and women which usually comes out of nowhere) and told I'm a hypocrite. While I've never thought my faith was to blame I just decided to not really reveal my faith or that I am part of the ddlg community. So to see this is a fantastic relief! You're truly special Little-Lelia!
Guest AelaPiggy♥ Posted May 16, 2016 Report Posted May 16, 2016 I'm Catholic through and through--mass every Sunday and all holidays of obligation. I am from a country where a vast majority if the population is Catholic AND is very conservative. I even have a priest for a cousin. And for sure, if any of the people I know here knew of my little/sub tendencies, I would probably be disowned or excommunicated or whatever. So none of the people in my "real" life know this side of me. And to be honest, it's a pain hiding my real self from them, hence the "Ae" alias. But whenever I'm here (lurking in the forums and being surrounded by like-minded people), I feel "free-er". I love my faith and I wouldn't give up on my religion, but I strongly believe that God still loves me nevertheless. No matter my preferences.
Guest MontBlanc Posted May 16, 2016 Report Posted May 16, 2016 (edited) I am Catholic. Try to go to mass every weekend and holy days of obligation but lately I have been a little lukewarm; the worse kind of catholic Well over due for a good confession too - probably take a good couple of hours and few awkward silences hahaha As an aside being a 'little' or a 'sub' is not a sin in of itself @SolitaryAe and you certainly will not get excommunicated for it - mind you I wouldn't go about shoving it in your family's face hahaha.
