Guest NewYorkDaddy Posted April 27, 2016 Report Posted April 27, 2016 Anyone else like Aldi? There is some crazy awesome cheap food there. I bought a bag of seedless cara cara oranges for four bucks. They have the cheapo mac and cheese, their brand for like 69cents a box. Their pasta sauce is top notch. Sometimes I make my own though. I love to cook. Sometimes aldi even has chicken thighs for like 69 cents a pound. I like food shopping. Seriously, those oranges are good. They are a seedless navel orange cultivar with really low acid. They taste like sweet orange-ey clementines.
Guest Posted April 27, 2016 Report Posted April 27, 2016 I adore Aldis!! My best score from there recently is $3 bottles of wine!! Easily my favorite grocery market!! I even found a cute throw blanket for $10!!!

I mostly buy marsala, their mushrooms are cheap too and very fresh. I do most of my food shopping there. I bought a lawn toy for my cousins last year. They have cool random things . Guest ♥ Lee ♥ Posted April 27, 2016 Report Posted April 27, 2016 I love aldi with a great passion. I once bought so much food there with $50 bucks, anywhere else I would have gotten like less then half the amount. And there food is really good! Love their watermelons in the summer and there oranges in the winter! I love how they have organic foods and lots of choices when it comes to snacks. I have no complaints about aldi!
MellyBoo19912015 Posted April 27, 2016 Report Posted April 27, 2016 I will say someone who has shopped in the UK in Lidl and Aldi some things are good but I wouldn't trust their fruit and veg here, it rotts so quickly, wouldn't touch Lidls cheese (it bounces) or Lidls Turkey (inside was rotten) and over here whilst they can offer some OK value you can't do a full shop here.
Gamer daddy Posted April 27, 2016 Report Posted April 27, 2016 Over here in the UK asda is best for all around shopping or the freezer shop is brilliant
Guest kyril Posted April 27, 2016 Report Posted April 27, 2016 There's an Aldi right near me where I live. I do half of my groceries there as they are rather cheaper and have alternatives that tastes just as good.
Guest sirdude77 Posted April 27, 2016 Report Posted April 27, 2016 I'm cautious these days of the quality and origin of cheap food, ecspecially in America but I understand people wanting to save money.
Sunny Posted April 27, 2016 Report Posted April 27, 2016 (edited) I was really pleased when I found out that there was an Aldi near where I currently lived; I'm originally from the UK and I figured it was a European thing, but nope, America has them too! It's the only place I can buy houmous around here, and it's delicious houmous too. :3 Edited April 27, 2016 by Sunny

I want to try making it from scratch; from what I hear Israelis make some of the best hummus but I'm not sure
