Wolf's Bedtime Stories (Update thread)

Hi all!

 

So there are a couple of new stories now that I will talk about in a second.

 

As some of you know after a chatroom request here I have been uploading some bedtime stories for those who fancy being read to. Rather than spamming here with a new post every time I upload a new one, Princess Diana had the great idea that I just make one thread and post to it when there is new content. So that's the thread I'm making now.

 

I've been taking requests, and not all of these will stay up for long because they are still in copyright. But for now while I'm working out my mic and editing, I will just keep some things up.

Actually I'm interested in getting into some longer ones once I feel I've gotten the hang of it. I want to do the little prince in a few installments. So longer ones are totally great! But preferably older works as I need to be mindful of copyright going forward.

I have a Peter Rabbit plush and I used to have a Mr McGregor. Thanks so much for your stories!!!! They are so great and you have a very comforting voice. I especially liked The Kissing Hand

 

For longer stories, how about Fantastic Mr Fox by Roald Dahl? Or the books about Elmer Elevator in the My Father's Dragon trilogy by Ruth Stiles Gannet?

I'm so glad I found this thread. Earlier today I got terrible news that my grandmother will pass away soon.. I became overwhelmed with sadness and cried a lot.. I couldn't bring myself to talk about it with anyone yet..

 

But I tried to distract myself by going online and came across this thread. It has been a long time since Ive heard a bedtime story. I started listening to "The Tale of Ginger And Pickles" and it really helped me calm down. Your voice is so soothing! Thank you very much for comforting me. I will continue listening to your bedtime stories in the future.

Oh Berry, I'm so sorry to hear of your news. If that helped in any way then that's an honour.

 

And thank you for the suggestions everyone! To respect copyright I can't do stories that are written too recently (70 years since the author's death). But these suggestions are all great!

 

I *am* in fact doing a longer piece at the moment - about an hour of recording (and 2 parts of 4) of one of my own favourite stories, The Little Prince.

 

Roald Dahl I shall certainly put on the list! And Kipling too. Please keep them coming! I was reading grown-up books waaaaay too early and a lot of these stories are new to me and fun for me to read too.

 

But yeah, thank you so much guys. This makes me feel really happy!

Wow... I don't know whether to laugh or cry. The past week has been so stressful and today I was about to hit my limit.

 

The little pink rose helped calm me down. It means a lot to realize there are safe places even when the world is going crazy.

 

Thank you for doing this. Just wanted to let you know that it's a big thing and means a lot. Really really a lot.

Generally Daddy will read me bedtime stories, but he's not always able to, be it from working late, being too tired or just not in the mood. We're long distance so that doesn't help much! I love listening to your stories on nights that he is unable to read to me you have a really lovely voice - very soothing! Second of course to Daddys'! Are you Australian?

Oh wolfdaddy thank you so very much. I was having a tearful morning and came upon your stories. I listened to the last chapters of The Little Prince and your soothing voice caressed my heart and helped me not be so sad. I needed that so much and you were lovely to provide it to me via telling a story. Thank you for being such a good daddy and recording for all of us to listen.
