Hi all!

I was wondering if anybody here is into Astrology or tarot and such things? I am currently a learner psychic medium/healer. I've always known there was something different about me and I've always felt like my zodiac sign (pisces) describes me perfectly. Learning more about my star sign is what got me on this journey into the unknown. I've had some pretty cool experiences along my way and now I'm practicing tarot readings and angel card readings and will soon be doing spiritual healing (like reiki and stuff) too! Anybody else here have any interests in this area?

I think astrology is interesting and fun but I haven't really looked into it. I am into spiritual healing since I am studying to become a holistic health practitioner. I really enjoy craniosacral therapy and jin shin acutouch.

There's some descriptions here of Zodiac sign meanings.

http://zodiac-signs-astrology.com/

Also, I find numerology interesting (the study and significance of numbers) and you can also find a lot out about yourself through discovering things like your life path number. Your life path number can give you an idea of the kind of opportunities and challenges you will come across in your life. You can easily calculate this number by using your DOB.

I can show an example here using a fake DOB

December 11 1995 so 1/1/1995

All you have to do is first add all the single digits together in the groups they are in (i.e month/day/year).

1+2=3

1+1=2

1+9+9+5=24

Second step is to break down any double digits to single digits by adding the two together.

2+4=6.

Third step is to add all the new numbers together.

3+2+6=11

We've arrived at another double digit so we repeat the second step.

1+1=2.

Your life path number is 2.

*If you can't be bothered with this there are life path number calculators online where you simply enter your DOB and it gives you the number*

So, now you know your number here is a list of the numbers and their meanings.

Wow that's great! Good luck with it all I think its great you are studying that. I do know of jin shin acutouch it's an interesting and I'm sure very beneficial practice.

I feel like I should also mention chakra healing here. For those who might be unsure what I mean Chakras are centers of energy and there are 7 main Chakra on the body. I like to use this youtube link to make sure they are in balance. I hope one day soon to get some Chakra chimes. Yay! lol.

I also like to use healing crystals.

I've only recently been learning about astrology and reiki with some friends of mine but I have been reading tartots and tea leaves for a while now. I'm not very good at it yet but with time and practice I get better ( I hope lol) . I've also been excited about learning about stones and crystals and how to use them

Ooh yay (I get excited when I find people into the same stuff lol)!

That's so cool you read tea leaves! I read up about it once and was very intrigued though I have not tried it nor had one done for me. Sounds great though!

I'm learning too! It's all been a great experience so far and I thoroughly enjoy it.

Well I got into the crystals simply by finding out what my birthstone was and then reading about other gemstones and crystals and then finding out about each and their healing properties. At the moment I use an aquamarine pendant for divination and I have a real chunk of Amethyst that I have had since a child. But I like to carry clear quartz around with me (it's like the Master of the crystals for healing properties) and any others that I feel I need.

I have recently gotten into Runes, I have been doing Tarot readings for awhile. Tasseography can be a bit of fun with a few friends!

Runes are really cool too and that's great you do tarot readings! As I was saying earlier, I haven't done Tasseography but it seems really interesting! :)

I haven't tried out runes before but I'd like to give those a try too! I have a huuuuge chunk of amethyst from my mom and have been collecting smaller piece of different crystal from a couple of months now . I used to make them into jewelry, I'm still do sometimes. My pendulum is rose quarts

Runes are so much fun and you guys should really try Tasseography! I used to have a nice collection of crystals but I have moved so much they're lost :(

YES! I love astrology and tarot cards. I try to read tea leaves but I haven't had much success so far... I mainly have success with my pendulum. I really believe in the power of crystals and tarot as well though.

Okay... now I have questions! lol!

1. Do you guys think your star sign depicts you well?

2. For the tarot/oracle readers, what cards do you use?

3. Which is your favorite gemstone/crystal and why?

I think mine depicts me almost to a T lol.

I have two tarot decks I use. One is John Holland's Oracle Deck (I like this one in that it has the seven Chakras included) and of course the Rider Waite Tarot Deck. I have two angel decks both Doreen Virtue. One is Healing with the Angels and the other is Daily Guidance from Your Angels. :)

Although my favorite colour is blue, I still like Amethyst in that it's a "calming' stone.

Oh I certainly think my zodiac sign embodies me well! (leo)

I have been using a cute medieval cat tarot set. I feel the longer you use a set the more effective it is, you build a bond with it. Do you guys ever charge your cards?

I am partial to the Carnelian, I use it to get my creative juices flowing :D

Your Tarot cards sound cool! I agree with you completely on the bonding.

I do charge my cards. Does anybody use the moonlight/sunlight method? If not what methods do you use?

I like your choice of gem! :)

I prefer moonlight, I actually haven't tried sunlight. What method do you use?

I feel like I'm pretty spot on with being a Gemini. Except that in real life I'm not much of an extrovert.

I use a set of Healing with the Fairies cards and sometimes a mermaid set that I've some how misplaced...

My favorite gems that I gravitate a lot to are Jade and Rose Quartz.

I actually just got my first Rei Ki attunement from my brother this last year, he's at the Master level. I like using it once in a while, but just like all the other magickal practices, I tend to only use them when there's a serious need. He's taught me some acupressure and massage as well, which is a lot of fun. The only thing I've done with runes so far is making rune pendants from the Elder Futhark system, mostly to call in the powers of Odin and Thor, and to welcome the ancestors of that culture. I'm an eclectic neo-pagan, so I tend to borrow from a lot of different cultures and time periods in cobbling together my own practices.

Last summer I got to work with the curator of the Smithsonian's gemstone collection, a Peruvian shaman named Manin. That was actually pretty darned cool, but sadly it seems she has pulled away from the healing community to focus on her grandchildren now :( I might never get to work with her again. We also held a sweat lodge in a revised North American style that same weekend. It was my first time being a fire keeper :D (definitely a job for me!)

Anyway, I'm rambling on. I'll pop back in later :D

my start sign is a cancer, I have to find out more on it but its  pretty accurate for me so far.

My favorite deck is my mom's old universal waite deck, its the one she taught me with so there is definitely a bond there! I do have another deck my friend bought me though, its a copy of the one used in the show Penny Dreadful. Its cool and spooky looking but idk i don't get the same feelings, for lack of a better word, the few times I've used it.

My favorites are amethyst and I think its called  labradorite, its blue-ish and rainbowy in the sunlight.

I really wasn't into or understood the Zodiac. There was the occasional look to see how my day was suppose to be. My 'little' introduced me to it. I am still a novice but I am totally surprised as to how much it matches up with hers/my persona. My 'little' is also a Pisces, I am Virgo. I have read a lot about the signs and tailor the approach to our relationship based on the Zodiac.

I have used sunlight. It feels right to use for my angel oracle decks at least! I have been meaning to try moonlight on my tarot decks. :)

I am loving hearing that people feel like their star signs reflect them well. :D

The Healing with the Fairies cards sound great. I bet they are really pretty too! Sorry to hear you have misplaced your mermaid set but again, pretty I bet!

Also nice choices on the gems.

That's so very cool about your practices and about your brother being a Reiki Master! I also really love the sound of the rune pendants!

Wow....you got to work with the curator? That's really cool! I bet that would have been a great experience. Sorry to hear though that she pulled away though I guess I can understand why being that you mentioned the grandchildren. :)

*like* on the fire keeper! lol.

I'm glad you are getting into it more. It really is a lot of fun what you can find out and just like you said, surprising as well. I do believe there's a lot of truth to it.

Jin Shin Acutouch is really incredible. I want to be able to work with trauma and cancer patients with that modality. Chakra healing is pretty interesting to me too. I like crystals but have not really looked into them either!
