Caritas Posted January 17, 2016 Report Posted January 17, 2016 Things never seem to go to plan, and a Christmas meetup never seemed to happen sadly I'm going to suggest something a little different to see how people like the idea. Date: TBA, a weekend during March/April. Location: Central London. Activities: London Aquarium London Eye Madame Tussards Cost: £48 per person for all three (online price) https://www.londoneye.com/tickets-and-prices/attraction-passes/ £19.50 per person for just the aquarium (online price) https://www2.visitsealife.com/london/tickets/general-tickets Personally I'd love to do all three - if you have not been on the eye or been to Madame Tussards, they are wonderful experiences! Rules (The boring bit): 1. No Minors - you must be aged 18 or over on the date of the meetup to attend. There will be NO exceptions to this rule.2. Public alcohol consumption is illegal in many areas of the UK. If we decide to drink it will be in a bar - bring your ID to avoid disappointment.3. No drugs. Drugs are illegal and we don't want to get arrested on what's supposed to be a fun day out!4. If you don't have a Daddy or don't have a Little you are still more than welcome to come, but please be respectful of the existing partnerships5. This is a fun day out for everybody, there are no plans for orgies or other similar acts! We don't want to taint a great playdate with assumptions like this.6. Everybody should bring something to eat and/or drink, we need to arrange in advance what to bring to share.7. You are all responsible for your own travel arrangements - we will be using the London Underground to get around, it's suggested you have a zone 1-2 travelcard or oyster card.8. Creepy people will be asked to leave Thoughts? 3
LittlePrinceWilly Posted January 17, 2016 Report Posted January 17, 2016 Sounds like fun! If I've moved to London by then I'll definitely be there.
Guest Buttons Posted January 18, 2016 Report Posted January 18, 2016 I SO BADLY WANT TO ATTEND THIS *swims*
DaddyJ Posted January 18, 2016 Report Posted January 18, 2016 I'd definitely be up for this, mostly just to meet up with some of you friendly folks (previous meets happened before I joined). I'm a fan of aquariums but haven't been to the London one, even though I've been here a long time, so that would be great
Caritas Posted January 19, 2016 Author Report Posted January 19, 2016 I've been with Doll to the London Aquarium before and it's fantastic, although hard to make an entire day out of. Mostly I'm interested to know if there are enough people interested in coming and willing to pay the entry rates... While group tickets may save a few pounds, I don't think it's practical for any one person to collect money from everybody else!
BH_Bambi Posted January 19, 2016 Report Posted January 19, 2016 I think if I can make it (and I'll desperately try to!), I'd be in the same position as Rosie. Perhaps, if enough people wanted to, we could go to the aquarium and then a meal? Less of an early start this year
DaddysgirlKan Posted January 22, 2016 Report Posted January 22, 2016 I'm definitely coming to the aquarium not sure about the London eye, but should make a meal if others want to while we wait x
DaddysgirlKan Posted January 25, 2016 Report Posted January 25, 2016 Hope this happens, if you set a date please let me know a date so I can see if daddy is coming too x
DaddyJ Posted February 25, 2016 Report Posted February 25, 2016 It sounds like aquarium + food is the winning formula, maybe we should settle on a date? I propose the weekend of 12/13th March. I picked it because according to the TfL site it's the only full weekend in March/April without planned works on the underground. But obviously there's always routes around any closures and we can scrub that if another weekend gets the votes. The aquarium is £16.92 each for a group ticket bought in advance online. Probably too much trouble for one person to organise it all, but could save a few pounds for any smaller groups that know they are attending together (although I think you have to pick a 'visit time' from the list of 15 minute increments). Caritas mentioned online was £19.50 but standard entry (online price) has gone up 45p since then to £19.95! (on the door is £24.95).
DaddyJ Posted February 25, 2016 Report Posted February 25, 2016 Ha sorry you responded to my post before I saved my edits. Agree it's too much for one person to do all the money collection!
DaddyJ Posted April 3, 2016 Report Posted April 3, 2016 The London meet up hasn't happened yet, but I'd still support a group of us to get together for this. Maybe there's some things which are making people hesitant? if so would be good to address these and see if we can get a plan together :-)
littlebbystar Posted June 15, 2016 Report Posted June 15, 2016 Hey .....did this happen or is it looking like it will . me and my daddy are looking for a meet up to meet others like us many thanks
honeyboy Posted June 19, 2016 Report Posted June 19, 2016 I hope to see something like this happen! I'm very shy/socially anxious but I reaaally want to meet other littles, and I'm new to London so I could do with making some friends in general :~)
