Little_Smurf Posted January 15, 2016 Report Posted January 15, 2016 So I saw someone on tumblr use choremonster to keep track of the chores she had to do. It looked both cute and practical. I have a lot of chores to do lately and also a lot of stuff I tend to forget like brushing my teeth or eating. I wondered if anyone on here uses it and how their experience with this app is. Are the rewards custom ? And how do they work ? Do you turn in points for rewards or do you link one chore to a reward? 1
PrincessAmelia Posted January 15, 2016 Report Posted January 15, 2016 Woah... woah... Woah... What is this ChoreMonster we speak of?
LittleLady Posted January 15, 2016 Report Posted January 15, 2016 It's an app for kids and parents to set up chore schedules and reward systems. https://www.choremonster.com/ Personally it looks really fun!!!! I want to try it! ~LL

That way you will do them more frequently and at some point they might even become automatic. I also think it's more fun to collect points and then pick out a cool reward after a while so you have something to work towards But with the ''rewards for each chore'' system you could implement smaller rewards but more frequent. Might be a little hard to keep up with that though. 1

K. agreed to trying choremonster with me so I'll let you know how it goes once we've tried it for a bit. Any ideas for fun rewards? I already thought of: ♥Watching a fun disney movie ♥ Colouring ♥ Baking with K. ♥ Small gifts like cute pens and such

Maybe your CG can watch the movie with you if you would like that

Yeah I was looking for more fun to do things rather than presents as he gives me an allowance already. 1
Guest buddhagirl Posted January 15, 2016 Report Posted January 15, 2016 Daddy and I have used Choremonster for about 6 months. I turn in points for lots of different rewards like a new stuffie, a bubble bath, etc. We really like using it and it helps me be good.
tamsinkitten Posted January 15, 2016 Report Posted January 15, 2016 Daddy and I tried to use ChoreMonster too. At first I really liked it. It seemed fun, easy and convenient.Daddy wrote a list of daily and weekly chores, I checked it each day. It really helped to keep track of my chores and I felt good when I completed a task. Earning points was motivating and I liked the reward system too.But we often had problems with this app! I don't know why, but several chores disappeared for no reason, some tasks I had completed didn't appear after so my Daddy couldn't validate them, and some he did validate, never gave me points. So in the end I was pretty disappointed cause I often didn't get any points for several tasks done and it wasn't very reliable to check my chores as some disappeared some days. But I didn't see anyone else having this type of problems with this app, so I don't know.

But that you liked it at first is already a great thing to hear. I'm kinda nervous about it as we've already tried several methods of giving me chores and me doing them but so far it's been a bit difficult for me. I really hope choremonster can improve that!
KottonKandy371 Posted January 16, 2016 Report Posted January 16, 2016 Hi! Do you know of any other apps that work this way? Daddy and I were looking to share to-do lists and although this one sounds like a good way to start it doesn't seem like it would let him add his own chores
Little_Smurf Posted January 16, 2016 Author Report Posted January 16, 2016 Hi! Do you know of any other apps that work this way? Daddy and I were looking to share to-do lists and although this one sounds like a good way to start it doesn't seem like it would let him add his own chores I might be mistaken but I do believe you can add custom chores. I googled ''custom chores choremonster'' and found a couple of reviews that said you could. I hope that's any help to you. There are other chore apps but this one looks both the easiest and the most fun to me.
Guest Daddy's☆treasure Posted January 17, 2016 Report Posted January 17, 2016 Daddy and I use choremonster. It's fun! Daddy and I each have an account and he leaves me the chores/tasks and then once I complete them, I log in and mark off that I have done them. When Daddy logs back in, his account shows what I have completed and then I get rewarded with points and tokens to get cool monsters which you collect. Also Daddy has the option to put his own custom rewards on there like allowing me to have a sweet treat or something! Plus he has the option to add custom pics to each task which might not sound like much but he always puts funny or cute pictures that make me giggle.
BH_Bambi Posted January 17, 2016 Report Posted January 17, 2016 Hi! Do you know of any other apps that work this way? Daddy and I were looking to share to-do lists and although this one sounds like a good way to start it doesn't seem like it would let him add his own chores There is a messaging app called 'Couple' which allows you to share lists and check things off! There's also calendars, and a feature called thumb kisses. It might not be what you're looking for, but it is cute
