Planner Love!

I've always been so obsessed with planners and keeping organized. It was not only recently that I discovered the planner community and I love it so much. Decorating my planner and using stickers daily help me feel little all while getting organized in my "adult" life.

I'd really really like to have a planner! I'm bad at keeping it though... Well I was pretty good about it back in school, you know when they'd give you school planners for homework and junk. I'm sure if I could just get back into the swing of things I could keep up with keeping a planner.

I've heard of washi tape but I haven't had the chance to mess with it -- what's it like?

 

I don't have a planner, mainly because my job doesn't allow me to carry things around. But I do have a calendar at home! I've covered it in super cute bear stickers.

Washi tape is decorative tape that can be used on a multitude of things. It's also very easily removable!

I'm trying to bullet journal this year, and so far it's working out!! I've got a really pretty green journal and glitter gel pens so I think I'm good for a while (though I probably get star stickers for my good days hmmm....)

I did it. I bought an Erin Condren beauty. After years of longing I have ignored my better judgement and just bought one <3 Don't judge me! I am so, so excited and will definitely be sharing pictures when it arrives!

 

Edit: After ordering it I realised that the horizontal planner has an entirely different style to the vertical one in terms of colour scheme and patterns etc. What I would LOVE would be an EC planner that has the vertical colour scheme and the horizontal layout but c'est la vie! I love colour and I'm not a fan of the horizontal patterns so I cancelled that order, they refunded me the store credit, and now I'm reordering but in vertical format this time. Such a faff!

Ooooh I love planners!!! Since I have goals and tasks I made a weekly layout that I affectionately named "the game of life" for every task I get points and I can trade them for prizes. I'd like to point out I've been stalking this post since it went up! I freaking love love love planners but I was always too busy trying to keep track of things in my head! I'm getting help making a schedule and I'm so excited to be filling out my Franklin Covey!! I'll post pictures as soon as I'm all set up!

 

Right now I only have my clear stamps but I love them! Stamps are flipping brilliant! Have you guys tried the frixion pens?! They're awesome! I also like this pen I found on amazon that has red, black, blue, and green ink as well as a pencil in one! Woo! Again, I'll show everybody pictures soon hopefully!

 

As far as organizing, what do you guys usually like to use? Post it notes? colored dots? colored ink?? Thanks so much for setting up this thread PK!

I've used this site a couple times to resize my pictures! http://www192.lunapic.com/editor/?action=resize

And push come to shove you could just upload it to pinterest, photo bucket, or something like that if you're registered! I'm not sure if there's a way to resize on this site (but probably not). 

 

I'd personally love to see it but if it's too much of a hassle to upload totally don't worry about it girly! <3

The ability to cutify (that's a pandababy-ism lol) the planner is the major benefit of the paper version. I have two...one for personal and one for my job and both are covered in doodles, stickers, inspirational tidbits, highlighting and washi tape. It really motivates me to stay organized (a real challenge for a free spirit) when I can make it super cute. Pinterest and youtube are awesome places to find great ideas...that's where most of mine initially came from.

Its not a planner but i use washi tape and colored pens in a spiral notebook i tape stuff i like in. Excited to learn about frixion pens!

I love watching Glam Planner on YouTube. I just love her style and how she decorate things. She has a very clean and simple look. She also has her own Etsy store where she sells sticker and planner kits.

I love the Moleskine Daily planners. I have like 3 that i use simultaneously! Obsessed. Your planner is so cute! I'm much less delicate with mine.

Have you heard of Ban.do? I swear...my planner from there is the most perfect thing ever. I keep a day journal that I try to write in every day! I have a really hard time keeping on task and getting done what I have to do, so I like to plan my day by the hour every day. I tried lots of things to try to keep me to a schedule (rewards and punishments didn't seem to help me at all) and I found that just writing down when and why I break my schedule helps me a lot. It feels non-blaming, so I don't feel bad when I have to change my schedule, but if I've been breaking my schedule in a harmful way (e.g. staying home from work too many days in a row) I can look back at my reasons for doing it and figure out if there's something I can do to fix it. 

I've also recently started drawing a month view so I can keep track of my appointments and deadlines in the future, rather than just planning from day to day. I can't find any monthly/daily day journals like this, so I just draw it myself with a ruler.

I've been writing more extensive journal entries lately since therapy has been prompting much deeper introspection. I really want to buy a bunch of washi tape and cute stickers to decorate it with!
