Online games for daddy and little?

Recommended Posts

Hey all! I was just wondering if any of you know what kind of games there are for daddy and little to play in a lo g distance dynamic. My little wants us to play games together that way since we are not physically together. Are there kids games like that? Is the somewhere on this forum for that?

TIA

Depends on what sort of style game you like & if you both use the same gaming system.

Two gross platform games I am currently really enjoying are they are not strictly kids games but my little side loves them as much as my big side:

Palworlds - it’s pretty much Pokémon just not. You run around catching really cute pokemon like creatures called pals all well collecting resources like wood stone and food to make weapons, and craft things to build the base of your dreams. You can build your base anywhere you want it and you can build anywhere on the map on or off your base (some things will lose functionality when built off a base though). The map is huge been playing a week and still not seen it all. This plays best if you can be on some sort of voice chat, PS5 can only join online games using a game code at this moment.. I could talk about this game forever so I’ll leave it there and move onto the next..

Party Animals - I freaking love this one!! think ragdoll physics meets really cute animals that look like they could be stuffies!! You play against people in really fun game types and it’s a last team/pair standing kinda game. It does have a go cart race mode but I don’t like it so I always remove that game type when searching for a game. You can also set up rounds for verse each other and have AI fill the other team slots.

I do know a few others but what console do you both play on (my suggestions may not work if it’s not ps5) & how little are we wanting? For example there is a bluey game, but would that be to little or would a barbie game would that be better suited? I mean my little side wants both… so probably not the best example.

Thanks for the response. I don't have a platform unfortunately. We do everything right now through Discord message and sometimes voice. She's generally probably about 3-5ish little. She likes stuff like Bluey and Peppa and I've read bedtime stories to her that arr appropriate to that range. I had a list of interactive games but it's pretty much we have to be physically next to each other. Finding games like that a daddy and little girl can play when their across the country is hard, but understandable too.

Well both the games I mentioned are on computer so if that’s an option to you.
I only know the Bluey game is on ps5 for sure coz it’s what I hav… but it may be in others. There are a lot of boardgames you can now get digital versions of either on mobile or console/pc. During Covid my nephew & I would turn games into things we could play together via distance. Things like I spy I would find a busy picture online & send it to him & we would pick things from the photo. Or when watching movies I would pick a colour or category and we would have to find things & call them out that fit (we would watch movies specifically to do this.. if one of us just wanted to watch then we would just watch). Sometimes you just have to think creatively & change/combine/create games to work.

I'm using a tablet amd I think she is just using her phone. I know Google app store has a Bluey  game but not sure if it's one we can do or not, but it might be and a pPeppa Pig game too. One's we can try anyway. PBS Kids is one I don't think we could play games necessarily (maybe) but we could watch the videos on call "together". She was excited when I brought that one up and has already been watching videos lol. And I guess on call could be a way of playing games too maybe.

Uno is an option for tablet/phone… the thing with most kids games on mobile/tablet is for safety they don’t actually support online multiplayer as they are designed with kids in mind. Your best option may be seeing what board/card game adaptations there are.

Yeah that's what I figured. And completely understandable. I argue with my son about that all the time. The internet is not a safe place!

Minecraft
Chess247
Checkers247
skribbl

These are the games I currently play with my little one, but like you, I am equally eager to discover more online browser-based games we can enjoy together.

The Lego Games are typically a big hit. Stardew Valley. Terraria or Minecraft. It depends on what you're interest in and what platform you play on. The Switch has some of the best options IMO, if that's your thing. If you google "coop games for couples" and similar things, you'll find some great resources. There's even a website dedicated to coop games like co-optimus.com , coopgames.com , and there's another really good one but I can't find it right now.

Roblox!!! its a free app that can be used on mobile and pc. it has a ton of games on there! hello kitty games, dress up, theres a game that lets you read a ton of different books like a library, another game I can recommend is Minecraft, however you're gonna have to pay money for that one.
