just_a_bookworm Posted December 31, 2024 Report Posted December 31, 2024 My job isn't difficult but it can be very mentally taxing. I have small squashmellows on my desk that I enjoy holding on too when it gets to be too much, I am able to work and none of my coworkers think anything of it. I find that having that comfort helps. I am hoping to find ways to nurture my little side. I am thinking of adding a coloring book. Something I can do that won't distract me too much. I wish I could have one of my stuffie tomorrow at the zoom call I have to be on. But at least I know that I can hold on to them after I am done. 1
Middlespace Brat Posted December 31, 2024 Report Posted December 31, 2024 When I want to feel little-ish at work (safely!) this is what I like doing: If I work in an office or from home ~ - have stuffies on my desk - find a way to subtly little-ify my clothes, like pretty twirly skirts, cute socks, knee high socks under long bottoms, kawaii bracelets or fidget jewelry - chewy jewelry, if you think you may be able to. This isn't for every job for sure. - hang up cute memes that are subtly little. For example, Baby Yoda is a HUGE littlespace trigger for me, but others just see a Baby Yoda meme. It's a spy Baby Yoda, mwahaha!! - a binder with a folder with printed/torn out coloring pages, very subtle - if you get cold and can have a blanket, a cutesy kid blanket. Or a colorful cardigan! If I work a more hands-on busy job ~ - cute keychains or pins on my work stuff. One of my jobs requires a badge/lanyard, so I have cute pins on it. My other job requires a badge with reel, which is in a Hello Kitty holder! My keys also have stuffie keychains toooo. - nice smelly hand sanitizer, hand lotion, pens, notebooks, etc. - if you are allowed to use headphones, a nice littlespace playlist, podcast (ddlg/abdl podcasts exist!), or an audiobook, so it's like being read a story! DDLG books are so nice, idk if they exist in audiobooks, I'm not really an audiobook girly lol. - a cute hairstyle or ribbons. Minor accessories can usually be done. My medical job I wear pigtails and Hello Kitty necklaces, my community job I wear pretty dresses and a bit more fun makeup. - the cutest lunch/waterbottle stuff! I have Hello Kitty, Disney, all kinds of bottles with koolaid or juice or Sprite or flavored water. I also pack this purple kitty cat bento for lunch! And the lunches can be fancy, like sandwiches in cool shapes or cut up fruits and some gummies and stuff! I like looking up "kids bento" to see neat designs. Everyone I work with at both my jobs knows that I just like cutesy little-ish things, so it doesn't really seem "weird" to them. I of course stay big enough to be able to do my work, but sometimes the stress is less stress-y when you have littlespace stuff within reach/eyesight. 1
Sleepy Baby Posted January 1 Report Posted January 1 I personally can't speak being in little space during a work place, because I try to avoid being little in public. However, I do understand being drain from work; If I had a hard day at work then that is where I can take a break and be small as a reward. If I am working from home these are some things I do: 1. Light up a scented candle 2. Having fidget toys or stuff animals to hold 3. Putting on cartoons as I'm working At the end of the day, I reward myself an hour of coloring, screen time, or a bed time story that makes my day feel better. 1
