Finding my Place

hi there! so happy for a place like this to exist.  am all about providing support and comfort to Those that need.  yet i can be pretty bad at sharing when i need the same.  have always been a bit private when struggling, but going to try and get over that, and set the correct example. ^.^

well, here it goes.

i have been feeling a bit...overlooked lately.  and alone.  usually i can find the peace within solitude (hello, extreme introvert here haha) but lately it's felt more empty and scary than not.  especially when navigating DDlg again after some time with it on the back burner.  previously this year i was focusing on my purpose as a submissive/slave rather than a little/pet.  and though i am thankful for that journey, it has definitely taught me though i enjoy certain areas of it, i am more of a little and pet.  and i should not place myself in an environment where that is taken from me, or where i don't feel safe to be myself.

currently questioning my place- in the workplace, future plans, health decisions, lifestyle, etc.  and it's starting to get to me, where i am losing sleep over it.  i just wish for a good hug and to be told things will be okay.  because i know they will be, but it's definitely a lot to handle right nows on my own and can recognize the need for support to just know Someone is listening.  Thank You to Those that have read up to here, i appreciate Your time and wish You a great day. ^.^

@baby belle

Like you, I am also happy to have this forum where we can all feel comfortable supporting one another as needed. Many people, if not most, struggle or at least feel hesitant to share what’s been troubling, stressing, or simply weighing on their minds.

Thank you for taking the time to share what has been stressing you lately. I have broken down your concerns into smaller parts and addressed them individually as follows:

Feeling Overlooked and Alone:
Please remember that your worth is not determined by others' recognition, opinions, or treatment of you. As I often say, each of us is special, enough, strong, and lovable just as we are—even with our flaws.

We should take pride in ourselves, practice self-love and kindness, and embrace our unique qualities, imperfections included. Additionally, it's important to focus on nurturing yourself, building connections with those who truly value you, and pursuing activities that bring you joy and fulfillment.

Finding Your Place—in the Workplace, Future Plans, and Health Decisions:

When dealing with such complex issues, it’s best to break them into smaller parts and address each part separately. You might find it helpful to write each smaller part on a separate piece of paper, noting down possible solutions before deciding on the one that best suits your needs and unique circumstances. Remember, there is no one-size-fits-all solution.

Take one step at a time: explore your interests, reflect on your values, seek guidance when needed, and allow yourself to grow through trial and adjustment. Clarity often emerges through action. It’s also important to make necessary adjustments as you move forward and adapt to new insights or changes.

Lifestyle Issues
Deciding on a lifestyle in the context of Submissive/Slave or little/pet:  identity can be a deeply personal and sometimes challenging journey. Here’s some thoughtful advice to help resolve this:

1. Know Yourself: Take time to figure out who you are and how you feel. It’s okay to not have all the answers right away.

2. Find Your People: Spend time with friends, family, or groups who make you feel safe and accepted.

3. Learn More: Read or watch things about Submissive/Slave or little/pet  topics to understand yourself and others better.

4. Protect Your Space: Avoid people or situations that make you feel bad about who you are. Stay where you feel loved, valued and respected.

5. Take Your Time: You don’t have to figure everything out all at once. Go at your own pace and don't let anyone rush you.

6. Ask for Help: Talk to someone you trust if you’re feeling confused or stuck. Feel free to DM me if you seek furture support or clarity.

7. Be Yourself: Live in a way that feels right for you, not what others expect.

8. Keep in mind that your choices may evolve over time. Embrace this change, and continue to be kind and loving to yourself.

9. Best of luck! Remember . . . you're loved, you're enough, you're special, you don't need to please everyone, you're strong and matter, just as you're including having your own flaws!

It's wonderful to have you here, and it sounds like you've taken a brave step in sharing your feelings with us. It's perfectly okay to feel overwhelmed and uncertain sometimes. Life can throw a lot our way, and it's important to remember that you don't have to go through it alone.

It's admirable that you've been on a journey of self-discovery, exploring different aspects of your identity within the DDlg dynamic. It takes courage to recognize what truly resonates with you and to prioritize your needs. Embracing your identity as a little/pet is a beautiful thing, and it's crucial to be in an environment where you feel safe and accepted for who you are.

Remember, it's okay to ask for support and comfort. We all need it from time to time. It sounds like you're going through a lot right now, and it's understandable to feel lost and scared. But please know that things will get better. You are strong, capable, and deserving of love and happiness.

If you ever need someone to listen, offer a virtual hug, or just share a kind word, please don't hesitate to reach out. We're here for you. Take things one day at a time, be kind to yourself, and remember that you are loved.
