Guest AngelicAsian Posted November 12, 2024 Report Posted November 12, 2024 So tomorrow, I have 2 big job interviews. One is for a Cashier Assistant at Costco and the other is working in the kitchen area for the hospital. Both pay well as one is 19.50 and the other is around 27-30 ish. I am so nervous as I haven't had work since the beginning of this year due to an abusive 2nd marriage I was in and I am thankful to be out of, but I hate having my eating disorder recovery and mental health prevent me from being the best I can be. I really hope I can get one of these jobs as I am struggling terribly with no income coming in and I have numerous disabilities and it has been so tasking as for 2 years of having ARFID, I have only been able to have liquids and some solids(Crackers, candy, chocolate, pureed soups that are strained, and the occasional KFC mashed potatoes and gravy). I feel like this has prevented me from being the best me I can be as I am actively doing my food exposures and it has felt so lonely as I have to do them by myself. Is there any work from home remote people or anyone that works that can put in a good word for me as a reference as I am needing work BADLY and Idk what else to do; Idc the company as long as I can get hired and it pays more than 12.00 hourly as I am looking for pay that is 16.00+ hourly. Thank you so much and I hope everyone is having a good afternoon/morning/night or whatever time it is where you are! Much Love, Khara🥰
MasterPhotog Posted November 12, 2024 Report Posted November 12, 2024 Hey Khara, Thank you for sharing about your job interviews tomorrow at Costco and the hospital. You seem like an amazingly positive person, so during the interviews, try to stay relaxed and focus on highlighting your skills and qualities. Let them see how well-suited you are for the roles. The hospital kitchen position sounds especially promising, but it’s a good idea to accept whichever offer comes first. I recommend attending both interviews. If Costco offers you a job right away, let them know you need a day or two to consider it while you wait to hear back from the hospital. Wishing you the best of luck, and I’d love to hear how it goes!
Guest AngelicAsian Posted November 13, 2024 Report Posted November 13, 2024 @MasterPhotog You are so welcome. I didn't end up getting the job due to me having to have weekly labs drawn for my health concerns and my disabilities as well. I am so annoyed and frustrated as I have filled out 40+ job applications and yet nothing is hiring that pays enough. It's sad these places wouldn't even accommodate it. Smh.

Smh. @AngelicAsian I'm sorry you were not selected for one of the positions, especially due to needing weekly lab tests for your health concerns and disabilities. I can fully understand how frustrating and disheartening it must be, especially after submitting over 40 job applications. Given how determined you are, it might be worth considering remote work opportunities, possibly even positions outside your state or country, as corporations often prioritize their bottom line, and there may be limited options in your area. Wishing you the best of luck—stay strong!!
