Andriel_Isilien Posted November 3, 2024 Report Posted November 3, 2024 I was recommended "The Girl Who Drank The Moon" by Kelly Barnhill from a fellow middle/little in the community. 🌙🌟It's very good and magical!

The main character is a young girl named Luna that had taken too much magick by mistake as an infant. In the story you follow along as she grows older with her adopted family, an old forest witch (Xan), a bog monster (Glerk), and a little dragon (Fyrian). There are a few more characters that you are brought along with their POV in a village that is under a cruel tradition to sacrifice a newborn baby in the woods. The plot is about bringing them together to figure out how this tradition started, end it, and find out the truth about their identities.
Aikko Posted November 5, 2024 Report Posted November 5, 2024 I’m currently a few chapters in on a mystery called “A Solitude of Wolverines” by Alice Henderson. It’s about a researcher who is in the Montana wilderness to study wolverines but captures a man on the trail cam. Mystery and poaching ensue I think!

My issue with mystery is finding a good one with romance because I only read stuff with that as well 1
