Prayer request for one of our own

I'm sure some of you have seen a recent status update that one of our own was in a bad wreck and needs our prayers.

I ask each of you to please take a moment and ask Holy Father to look down upon Aikko from his mercy seat and send his Holy Spirit and angels to camp around her as he builds a hedgerow of protection and healing all around her.

I ask that you also remember her partner and family in your prayers that they may feel his comforting hand upon them as they go through this ordeal.

If you are not sure what to pray or ask for you can quote Psalm 91:4-6 which says, "He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings, you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart".

Please add any prayers you are led to add for our friend and family member.

Thank you to everyone that has been praying for @Aikko. She has a status update up for those that would like to actually see the power of prayer and the God we serve. There are also pictures and she warns they are not the most flattering or glamorous. But they could have been so much worse.

I believe our Father is still watching over her and Mr. Davis and strengthening them both and I'd like to thank Him for His response to our petitions. After reading the list of injuries she sustained I can't see any other reason she is here with us today but God's hand was on her and protected her.

Thank you again for your prayers and please continue to remember not only the 2 of them but each of our community members in your talks with our Holy Father.

Alright, y’all. It’s not cool to make a girl with broken ribs cry…ya know how much that hurts?? 😂🥴 but seriously, thank you so much. I’ve been a bit angry with God as of late (pre- and post-accident) just because of life circumstances. It’s been hard trusting his plan when I feel like he’s leading me off a cliff at times and I can’t see the path, but I just want to say I am a living breathing testimony of his steadfastness and unconditional love in the face of fickle human feelings. Despite the fact I have been pretty much actively choosing to be angry with Him, he still holds me in the palm of his hand and saved me. There’s absolutely no way I should be here telling you all about my injuries, you should be reading my obituary in the paper. The first thing the insurance adjuster said when I picked up the phone, after an emotionally charged 3 seconds of silence was “Wow. I don’t normally get to speak to the people whose cars look like this. I’m usually telling a family member how much they’ll get for their loved ones car.” He then became too choked up to speak, but when he found his voice he said I’m sure glad God had his hand on you and this will be a testimony of photos to share with my children and say I spoke to the woman who was in that car. It’s been rough finding my relationship with God again after a brutal divorce and the fallout it had on my personal life, but I have to try and remember that it’s going to look different. There was a lot of twisted scripture and biblical principles taken out of context in my previous church and marriage, so it’s been almost an experience in rediscovering Christianity and what scriptures actually say. But all that aside, this is to say that despite how I felt about God at the time of my accident, He still had his hedge of protection around me and used one of his innumerable miracles to spare my life. I guess some comfort in this for me is that the scripture that talks about how nothing can pluck us from His hand is 100% true and that once we believe truly we are sealed, our name is written in the Book and nothing I or another human can do will change that. I love each of y’all, you’re truly a family to me and we are brothers and sisters in Christ, so I know I’ll see ya in heaven some day, but I’m sure hoping it’ll be before then so I can give you a hug and thank you in person for your prayers. Either me or Mr. Davis will keep ya guys posted. But thank you again from the bottom of my heart.

A beautiful testimony and I'm glad you were able to share it with us. Also glad you were willing to share so much with us. I think as Christians in today's society we often shy away from speaking up and speaking out and that's not what we were called to do. I think we have been trained to watch and not engage and often only get the watered down version of what Christ called us to be and do. That is something I have been working to correct in my own walk. It's tough to go from a lamb to a lion but that spirit is in us and we need to find it and share it with those around us. So thank you again for sharing so freely and boldly. We love you and Mr. Davis and can't wait until you are back to 100% and spreading that Aikko joy around the forum again.

Reminds me of Job. where the devil came and destroyed his life. Where he did not do anything wrong and where his friends started accusing him of sin and that he sinned against God, and then his friends started questioning if God is a just God.

Job in the end also started questioning God and challenges God's Justice. God tells Job he doesn't have sufficient knowledge of our universe to make such a claim. Job demanded an explanation, and what God asked Job for is trust and wisdom in HIs character.
