sillyjadeblueeyes Posted October 5, 2024 Report Posted October 5, 2024 I just wanted to know if anybody else has anxiety or severe sadness when Daddy has work for too many days or I have work for too many days. If anybody is familiar with this, do you have any coping mechanisms that seem to help? 3
MasterPhotog Posted October 5, 2024 Report Posted October 5, 2024 @sillyjadeblueeyesHere are some ways to cope with such an issue: 1. Know and feel proud of your great qualities, be kind to yourself and acknowledge that it's okay to feel sad or lonely sometimes, and focus on self-care routines. 2. Keep yourself busy with hobbies or activities you enjoy, such as reading, or creative projects. 3. Call or message a friend, family member, or join a local group to connect with others. Hope this helps! 1
Aikko Posted October 8, 2024 Report Posted October 8, 2024 Yes! I feel the same all the time. It’s been especially hard for me because currently my Daddy and I are doing the long-distance thing. I’ve really REALLY had to do a lot of self talking to get thru. Like reminding myself it’s temporary, I will see him again, we are both doing things for OUR future etc. But some days are harder than others. One thing that’s been helping me is making pictures and coloring things and crafting stuff I can show him when we do get to see each other again. I have tried to find healthy alternatives to fill my time when I am getting antsy and missing him extra. Exercising has been helpful, coloring, painting, playing games on my switch or phone, cooking, crafting etc. it’s also helpful to not put all your attention into one person. I tend to do that and have had to branch out and try to find other people to talk to and spend time with. Hugs to you, I know how hard that can be.
LunaLilac Posted October 8, 2024 Report Posted October 8, 2024 I mean, I don't nor have I ever had anyone, but I can tell you I'm nonstop panic attacks. I tend to find the best way to deal with them, is to find three things in your direct vicinity, and start listing off details about them, their texture, firmness, colour, ect. You end up preoccupying your brain with little minutia that you kind of lose track of the anxiety. 1
OuO Alexibaaa Posted October 8, 2024 Report Posted October 8, 2024 I don't have panic attacks cause I know mommy's coming back, but I avoid the sads by doing happys I can do all by myself. Playing games while I wait, seems to be really effective for me. If I get super sad, I have a sim household that I like to pretend is us, lol.
