Tantra Sadhana, all occultism and spirituality comes from India in my opinion (which is called Bharat). Also there they have a left hand and right hand practise but I think in another perspective.

I honestly think you might be onto something, lol.

Is their Left-Hand less of a goodie-two-shoes than Right-Hand?

In wars black magic can be used because of a higher purpose. But the overarching concept is Dharma which is righteousness against Adharma which is the opposite of righteousness. You're basically a tantric follower in my ignorant opinion. I insist in Tantra because that's too old to be a copycat or an extension of something pre exisisting so it belongs to the most old human beings. I don't think it refer to the same concept of right and left you have described, I don't remember. Also there are so many deities to whom offer prayers and rituals, so I think it would be interesting for you to see the most equivalent higher being (higher compared to basic human consciousness) of the one you're now asking guidence. You might find more details and expand your knowledge.

@Daddu Thank you for bringing in Eastern spirituality into the talk! It's very insightful. :)

A lot of religious discourse on English-speaking platforms revolves around Westernized religions so it's an important reminder to consider things from a more global perspective.

That's very interesting perspective! Thanks for sharing it!

There's so much crossover between religions, so it's always nice to be pointed in similar directions.

I know they have tons of deities, but it really didn't occur to me to seek out the more guidance-related ones.

I've typically stuck with Paganism and Egyptian deities, but I'm definitely gonna look into Buddhism further now.

Small correction, look into tantra sadhana related to India, not buddhism.

My Google rabbit hole had suggested that the two were related. And lot of other Tantra results talked about sexual stuff. Guess I'll really need to dig, but thanks for the correction.

Religions divide us.

Spirituality unite us.

A spiritual athiest sounds like an oxymoron. 😅

Since you mentioned you were athiest earlier, do you have a sense of spirituality? I mean this in the most respectful way of course. I assumed it would be a rejection of both religion and spirituality.

Yes. I do not have to believe in a God or a religion to believe in spirituality. My 1st degree was in mathematics and Physics. If you study quantum physics, you know the world is made of energy. For me it is the same as spirits. We are not human beings having a spiritual experience but spirits having a human being experience. In my opinion, you can not be spiritual if you are religious. Those 2 concepts are mutually exclusive. To be religious means to be locked in a very small mental box that exclude anyone who does not want to play in your box. I also believe that we are all connected, being one big soup of energy. If I hurt you I hurt myself. (Unless you beg me to spank you of course). 🤣

Thanks for the suggestion. Hinduism makes references to laws of quantum physics before quantum physics was discovered. I find this fascinating.
