Capri Posted October 4, 2024 Author Report Posted October 4, 2024 Forgot to give my own thoughts in the first post. I guess I would be a deconstructing Christian who is questioning religion and curious about other belief systems. 🤔 All I can say is a higher power most definitely exists.
MissNMTX Posted October 4, 2024 Report Posted October 4, 2024 * tosses in Masters thesis on practical strategy for the religious left and once again steps out of the thread* Generally speaking, I'm an active and participating mainstream protestant Christian. 2

Yay🎉 You are correct in that. It is from the quote "CHRISTVS EST DIVINITVS" In Latin. I see what you mean with deconstructive Christian but judging from your last sentence wouldn't Agnosticism be the better word? And what are the main points of doubt for you? Have you received the sacrament of baptism?

Have you received the sacrament of baptism? Hmm but Agnostics don't know if a God exists at all so I wouldn't go as far to say that. Doubts about Christianity specifically and wondering about other religions. I have good friends with different beliefs and the idea that they might be condemned for not believing in Jesus doesn't sound right to me. People also spread a lot of hate and judgement on others in the name of Christianity which seems really ironic since we're supposed to love our neighbors and everything. Yes I was baptised as a baby.
OuO Alexibaaa Posted October 5, 2024 Report Posted October 5, 2024 (edited) Oh yay! I'm totally late to the party, but here I am! I'll try to break everything down to simple terms, but I'm opened to answer any politely asked questions! Well, as I mentioned in the political thread, I'm a Left-Hand Path(er). This doesn't involve Wicca, but very similar in nature. Wiccan is Right-Hand Path. They only dabble in white magicks, but I'm totally a Disney villain who's willing to do the black magicks. I brought up Wicca as it's very mainstream these days. I do things like wave wands, read Tarot cards, and plot my mortal enemy's downfall... But only if they've genuinely harmed me. I don't typically waste my energy doing anything too petty. Again, I'm a Disney Villain, not a monster. My core belief structure lies within Theistic Luciferianism. Which means I believe: 1) Lucy is a real entity 2) I do not consider Lucy to be evil 3) I do not worship Lucy, but ask for guidance throughout my life's path. Think teacher, or bestie you'd call on the phone to ask questions and not an authoritative daddy figure with an incredibly inflated ego. Fun Fact: I read the Bible. Key Difference: I don't believe the god in the Bible is a good one. I consider him the demiurge. He created our world to trap us here and force subservience upon us. And I ain't about that life... respectfully, of course. Fun Fact #2: Burning churches of any opposing religion to mine is fuuuu up. *Ahem* Just wanted to be very clear with that because of societal views on Satanism. Fun Fact #3: I consider good 'ol Jay-C a homie of mine. I approve of his teachings. I don't worship him, or pray to him, but he's totally welcomed to come to any and all of my Halloween parties. I don't believe Jesus is the same entity as the god mentioned in the Christian Bible. So, not part of a Holy Trinity/father-son thing. I believe he's completely separate. At the end of the day, I've got a love for learning about the world around me. My beliefs are fluid and shift accordingly to any gained insight. Because knowledge is power and I wish to be as free as a god... That last line sounds sus... 🙏 but I believe that we're all our own gods in our own worlds. I don't believe everything that MorgueOfficial says over on youtube, but I do enjoy listening to his ramblings from time to time. Annnnnnd I think that covers all the basics, lol. ♡ Edited October 5, 2024 by OuO Alexibaaa 2

I do write with my left hand though haha 😆 Was this a belief you were born into or learned later in life? 1
OuO Alexibaaa Posted October 5, 2024 Report Posted October 5, 2024 @Capri I figured just saying that I'm an occultic Luciferianian, wouldn't really do myself justice as it's very much non traditional even for other occultists, lol. But you're very welcomed! ♡ Left-Hand basically means ballsy with your choices while Right-Hand claims a sort of moral high ground. If you've heard the saying, "Harm none do as you will." Yeah, no. I'll harm if it's for a good cause. I'm willing to count on karma to come back around to me though, which is why I try to make sure I don't do anything as a petty response. I do white magicks as well, of course. I'm just not gonna lie down and take it when I'm harmed by someone, is all. I don't mind talking about all this as I like hearing what others practice too. I find it fascinating. But sadly, I was brought up in a closed-minded Christian household. I was baptized as a Lutheran as a baby, but my bio egg life donor jumped from church to church, as she's very unstable. So eventually I got fully manipulated into being baptized as a Mormon. I wasn't even a legally consenting adult yet and now that I'm older, I'm still wildly upset about this. Children should be encouraged to learn, not forced into a religious cult. But, lol I suppose Christian manipulation is part of my American freedoms. Of course, that's not to say I hate Christians or anything. I just wish their practices were a bit more open minded. Especially when dealing with others. I do hate Christianity though, just the beliefs, not the people. I feel that a lot of my childhood trauma is a direct result of their belief systems. So, to actually answer your question, I found my current beliefs later in life. I left Christianity altogether in my 20s and stayed agnostic for awhile. But then I was compelled to read the Bible again. Genesis hit me pretty hard and realized the snake in the Garden of Eden was onto something. So I started reading cccultic stuff in an effort to really figure out what good and evil truly is. Or at least have a better understanding of it. This is why I now believe that the god in the Bible isn't benevolent at all. He never was, won't be, but by natural design, can't ever be. Anyways, I would have liked to have been born in the occult with how accepting and open to conversation it really is. But alas, I unfortunately was not. 2

Anyways, I would have liked to have been born in the occult with how accepting and open to conversation it really is. But alas, I unfortunately was not. I'm sorry to hear about what you were forced to go through. It seems like there is a lot of religious trauma within Christianity.. I never truly felt comfortable in church, maybe I never went to the "right" one yet, but it didn't feel like a very loving or accepting place to me. The book of Genesis is a bit confusing to me too. I wish there was more mention about the creation of angels and the fall of satan. The story of how the snake came to be instead of just popping out of a tree as the bad guy. Makes me wonder how history is written by the powerful so it becomes distorted (native americans being portrayed as savages in colonial times for example) so it would make sense that religious books might become distorted as well. This totally sounds blasphemous I know. Maybe I have sympathy for the devil. 😅 1 1
OuO Alexibaaa Posted October 5, 2024 Report Posted October 5, 2024 @Capri I'm just glad I'm not the only one with religious trauma. I'm sad I'm not alone, but still grateful for the like-minded company~ 🙏💛 Even as I was being baptized, I didn't feel comfortable in the church. I was hoping that getting baptized would make those feelings subside, but they only got worse. I had several terrible experiences afterwards and then realized I just couldn't. That's not to say everyone involved is bad. Just that my experiences weren't what they could or should have been. There was one man in particular, who genuinely walked the walk and not just talked bs. He was on older gentleman who's no longer with us. I appreciate the devotion to his faith, as well as helping others, while he was with us. I truly hope that he got what his faith said he'd get, upon crossing over. Even before Mormonism, I couldn't find the right church either, so I know how you feel on finding the "right" one. I'd thought Mormons were the right one, but now I view my time with them as more of a learning experience than anything else. The Bible is incredibly distorted. Not only was it translated into English poorly, but a lot of stuff was deliberately altered to control the masses by the governing people at the time. A lot of books were left out. I'd be here all day trying to pinpoint everything, so it really is sad that society has been forced into ignorance. Well, I can only speak personally, but I don't believe Lucifer actually fell in the manner Christianity likes to describe. She more so was disowned by God for wanting equal rights. Because yes, I believe Lucifer is transgendered or at least transfemme. I also don't believe she rules over hell to punish people, but God does that. I know, I'm saying a lot of controversial stuff here. My bad. 🤣 I believe that the snake wasn't Lucy directly, but one of her secretaries. Because clearly there's an office somewhere in Las Vegas. 😂 As you can see, yeah, I clearly have sympathy for the Christian Devil. Some of the imagery is great, ngl. ♡ 1

As an amateur theologian I recommend you guys reading the Talmud.(Oral Torah) Or in better terms Torah shebaal peh. Allot of these details are explained there
OuO Alexibaaa Posted October 5, 2024 Report Posted October 5, 2024 @Divinitus Hey, thanks for that! I knew that Jewish scripture had some different explanations, but creation isn't something I've looked into yet. So I'll have to get to sometime. The more knowledge I come across, the better!
DaddyUpNorth Posted October 5, 2024 Report Posted October 5, 2024 I was never religious growing up, was raised atheist by a single mother who disliked religion and men so wasn't easy trying to learn about it. My spirituality was peaked when i suffered a horrendous injury that lead me on a very spirtual journey and showed me things most couldnt comprehend as even i can barely grasp them myself. I spent years reading about so many religions old and new, lost and not well understood. Trying to figure out and understand what it was that happened. I had around 40+ books about all forms of spirituality, religion, myths, legends etc to even get a foot hold onto what I've been through. After quite a long journey i met someone who introduced me to Jehovah Witnesses and i spent time studying with them and found out that Christianity was what i was searching for this whole time. The one taboo of my house growing up and what i was raised to not trust. I now read the Bible nightly and eventually would like to be baptized. 2
Liamo Posted October 6, 2024 Report Posted October 6, 2024 Being an atheist, kindness is my religion. 3
LeftyGuitar Posted October 6, 2024 Report Posted October 6, 2024 I am agnostic, but I was raised Catholic. I do believe spirits/ghosts exist. 2
MasterPhotog Posted October 6, 2024 Report Posted October 6, 2024 Love, kindness and being non-judgmental is my religion! 3

Guest Daddu Posted October 6, 2024 Report Posted October 6, 2024 I want to make one statement here: Religion: man made Spirituality: God made (belongs to everyone) Still learning, filing in syntony with indian spirituality at the moment.

I use the terms interchangeably but in my understanding the term religion gives more of a collective organization/gathering of believers vibe compared to spirituality which in general can be seen as a more personal thing. Saying something is Man-made and God-made is confusing. Men are spiritual beings and if God made men then didn't this divine entity in part make religion as well? Or is it the other way around in that men made God? 🤔

Guest Daddu Posted October 6, 2024 Report Posted October 6, 2024 (edited) For me human being are mini Gods in the sense that they have the capacity to expand their consciousness till God consciousness (through a set of practises and self-disciplines). Human beings as mind and intellect can only interpret and structure but not create and feel. But as consciousness can experience and participate (maybe even contribute) in the various existences (for whatever that means). In this sense religion is man made because they tried to structure and interpret a spiritual experience of someone else which is not a bad thing. I still believe that religions are a good doorway to higher spiritual experiences because of the practise they offer. The unfortunate side of religions is that instead of creating union (religion means reunite apparently) because of power struggle and spiritual ignorance of some of those who own the power create separation. Also there they have a left hand and right hand practise but I think in another perspective.
