sfw Thumb vs Binkie vs ???

Are you a thumb sucker? Do you have a binkie? Or do you use both?

I prefer my thumb, but I do have a super cute unicorn glow-in-the-dark binkie. I've tried all sorts of binkie over the years, and while they're cute, some of them just don't feel as safe as my thumb. The adult sized ones feel way too big compared to my thumb, but the smaller ones hurt my teeth after an hour or so of use. So I try to use binkies sparingly. Sometimes I like to take and hide my binkie in my purse! And I'll use it on long car rides at night, if I'm in the backseat. 

 So, which do you prefer? Why or why not? And do you have any binkie recommendations? I'd like to know! ♡

So apparently, some of y'all are extra and suck on other fingers besides just your thumbs... Go ahead and say which fingers you suck on, while trying to convince me you're... absolutely not a weirdo!

Has anybody else chew sucked on those little red beanie baby plastic tag things? Not the paper tag with the logo... but the little red piece of plastic that attaches the tag to the stuffie?

I highly recommend it if your favorite beanie baby stuffie is also your sleep stuffie. Much comfort, much loved on chew time that isn't as harsh on teeth.

I don't suck on my own thumb but I will suck on my Daddy's thumb when I'm feeling particularly sucky or little. Typically I prefer a pacifier and my Daddy prefers I use one as well. I'd say I probably have about three dozen or so in our Daddy/little room, in diaper bags and spread around the house.

both I have bad teeth so sometimes my teeth hurt too bad for a binkie. I take my binkie if I feel like its going to be stressful..im the only driver but dont care what strangers think. I had to drive passed dc this summer never drove that big of a highway or that bad of traffic if it wasn't for daddy and my bihkie it would of been a disastor.

@Capri I'm so glad the binkie helped with that! I'm not a nail biter myself, so it never occurred to me that a binkie could help with this. I'll be sure to share with any nail biting littles looking for things to try and help them stop!

@Sunflowery Ya weirdo! Lol jkjkjkjk. ♡ No, I've got small hands, so my thumb feels like a perfect fit in my mouth. Binkies on the other hand are either too big or too small!

Just for the sake of variety and to further divide the group 😂❤️😂❤️ When I was growing up, I would actually suck my index and middle fingers together, instead of my thumb. Thoughts???

@AdorableNancyDrew I did/do something similar but I use my middle and ring fingers together (like 🤟🏻) 😂 I've also tried a paci before but it just didn't feel quite right 😅

I suck on my dominant right hand, though I did try my left one once or twice.

Also, does anybody's sucky fingers bend less? Not in a hurty owie way, just overall stiffness to the joints...

I wonder things...

Same, it's my non-dominant hand as well. Also to add to my weirdness.. sometimes I find that lightly rubbing my earlobes while sucking my fingers ups the comfort level even more 🤭

@penelopebear Sometimes I'll play with my ears too! My ears are smooshy, so I'll smooshed them carefully. Not for too long tho, cause they get red hot. It's good for when it gets colds 🥶

You know, I’ve never done that, but that’s usually because I was holding a plushie 🧸 or something really satiny/silky with my other hand. I’m certainly intrigued though. ❤️

Omg me too! I was a finger sucker. I had to have a un removable retainer that had spikes on it to keep me from sucking my finger and pushing my teeth further out. I couldn’t close my mouth all the way because of how crazy my teeth were it was terrible.
