I'm 44 and just found myself maybe a year ago but couldn't let my middle/little out because of life circumstances. Ive been holding it back for so long. I have always had moments when I felt smaller or not the right age. I tend to like things that younger people like, I also tend to dress younger even if it just my jeans and a Halloween shirt in June 🤭 I've never acted my age. Anyway I am a massive reader and I stumbled upon some DD/lg romance books written by littles. I was amazed and excited and it made so much sense to me. Obviously its fiction but it opened my eyes and I started looking into what it really was.

Thats when I figured out I'm a middle but I also have a little side that comes out even though I don't think I am much younger when I go smaller. At that point I made some big changes in my life and went after finding myself. Thats when I got VERY lucky and found my daddy. He is the kindest sweetest most loving daddy and he means the world to me.

We don't tell people we are DD/lg we keep that to ourselves because people arent nice. I hope we all find acceptance even if its just without our own groups! So Happy and excited to be here and meet others like me!!

I went, "there's gotta be people out there who do the same thing I do" and I looked and lo there was. I was like...22? 23? It was a long time ago. I didn't really join in until late tho. I think it was over a decade before I even had the nerve to be a guest in ddlg spaces.

I can relate, still very nervous about ddlg spaces but love it when I get to play safely. Glad you were smart and found your/our people. Personally, love your name: it's fun and figure meaningful to you tbh. ❤️😍❤️For you for seeking and finding and braving More answers for you and sharing with me too😁

Same! I just started my little journey a few weeks ago. Finding this site has been so helpful!! Everyone I’ve interacted with have been very nice and answer questions. I love the community aspect and the welcoming attitudes. I tend to be more of a middle but do slip more little when things get to be too much.

So, I’ve always liked cute and childish things. My friends and family are even used to it. It was actually an ex that suggested and talked to me about it. It all finally clicked. I was 29…

Yes, 💯, I try to make a safe landing for when I need my littlest self to be. *special banket helps me.* Glad you are accepting your middle/little and sharing! Life is hard, this helps::)

This is a really good question!  I think things finally clicked for me during COVID. My bf and I were living across the country away from family, and I was the only one working between us. It really did a number on my stress. I already had some self-soothing habits that I did rarely, but were pretty "middle"y to me (coloring, playing with my hair and makeup, bingeing my fave animes/cartoons while hoarding all the snacks, playing arcade games, etc) but as the stress increased, my need for that space increased.

What was once something I only allowed myself to do maybe a couple times per year is now just part of my everyday life.

So yeah, I guess it was officially 4 years ago, and I am not going back! Lol

Love that for you! I find stress levels and little/middle comforts go hand in hand and glad you give it to yourself more. Covid additional stress makes sense and what a silver lining. I always remember the elders having teddy bears and dolls growing up as comforts especially when they lost a spouse or child so I think this has been a built-in coping mechanism forever. Accepting it as part of you (and me in our times) can be hard: love you've committed you.are.worth.it! Happy anime-self-soothing-peace and joy to you!! Ty for sharing!!
