Finally got the confidence

Somehow I got the confidence to finally get someone out of my life who kept making me think everything that happened was my fault and this had been going on for several years but tonight I made the decision to cut ties because I knew it was not healthy for me anymore and I needed to get out of the situation, even while cutting ties they still made it seem like I was the bad person at one point they said "that sounds like a you problem" I responded with I never denied that it was not my problem but I am beyond relieved that I cut ties and they will be gone forever.😀

If it's a "you problem" then it sounds like you were right to implement a "you solution". Good on you for sticking up for yourself and protecting your boundaries, and the jerk that was treating you badly deserves to lose friends until they pull their head out of their own butt and learn to be considerate of the people in their life. Stay confident and know your worth when people try to play with your feelings in a negative way like that ❤️

I'm a little late posting this but Good for you!! It important not to let toxic people get the better of us.  Years ago while I was still in high school I had a friend who I thought was my best friend. Took me ages to realize that they had managed to isolate me from all of my other friends and somehow managed to make me feel like I was at fault for any issues that came up in our friendship. When I finally realized that they were messing with my head I cut them off. I went back to my old friends and apologized for abandoning them. They hugged me, welcomed me back in and was happy to have me back. It was like a huge weight had been lifted off my shoulders.  That one person made part of my high school life hell, but my other friends soon had me happy and smiling again. Toxic people have no place in our lives. ☺️
