I see the waves washing soft and slow upon the shore.
Like the rhythmic breathing from atop your chest I hope to hear.
I see the stars glistening in the night sky.
Your hand in mine as we watch the moon wave goodbye.
I see the trees passing by in a unrecognizable blur.
Under the canopies sharing every love and every hurt.
I see the smile that you so desperately try to cover.
Learning every inch inside and out of each other.
I see the lazy afternoons hiding away.
From naps on the couch to all our childlike play.
I see you and I taking it far.
Giving each other every piece of our deserving hearts.
