Juju Posted April 18, 2024 Report Posted April 18, 2024 Can any of you suggest a good tent, that's inexpensive? I want to go camping but probably will be alone. Something really easy to set up, and take down. Not huge but not small either. I won't be doing any deep forest stuff but wood still like it to be roomy and comfortable.
lillizzie24 Posted April 18, 2024 Report Posted April 18, 2024 Coleman makes good pop up tents. Not sure price but pop ups are really easy to use. Alot of the parents used them on scouting trips.. 1
beanbean Posted April 18, 2024 Report Posted April 18, 2024 Yeah I have seen good things about Coleman tents on you YouTube
shadowrider Posted April 18, 2024 Report Posted April 18, 2024 Agreed, Coleman has been around forever. I haven't bought anything of theirs in a while but I assume the quality is still decent. I bought one like this, pre C19 it was like $20. The pros are it sets itself up and sleeps 2. Fits back into the carrier easier than a standard tent. Also pretty light. Cons would be the frame is fiberglass hoops and they will eventually break. Mine is broken now but I can fix it if I ever stop procrastinating. My opinion is its best for hotel camping. Pop it on a king sized bed, turn on a fire/fireplace video on your laptop, grab some snacks and camp away with no bugs. Or an occasional getaway in the woods I'm sure it would be fine. If I were planning on actual camping I would get something a little bigger and better made that I could cram in a duffel bag or pack. That big disc is not the best to try and tote through the woods in my opinion.
Juju Posted April 18, 2024 Author Report Posted April 18, 2024 I have a bed tent that I can set up in the house, the pop up one might be okay for a backyard get away when we get our house. But I agree, camping would need a more substantial setup but easier to carry. Coleman is a great brand! We have a cook stove. Which I've had some in the past a nd they're great! I think it's time I look into buying stuff, a little bit at a time, so I'll be prepared. That stuff is a butt- load of money these days! 😅 I'll keep Y'all posted on my progress lol

That may be my next purchase. That and a cheap pan to go with my cheap coffee pot lol 1
