Little__Rosy Posted April 14, 2024 Report Posted April 14, 2024 Hello everyone, I want you all to share about your favorite Indian festival. Here's a fun way to go about it: Everyone has to share an interesting fact about that festival that amazed them. 3
Little__Rosy Posted April 14, 2024 Author Report Posted April 14, 2024 (edited) My favorite Indian Festival is Navaratri. This festival spans over Nine days. For Nine days people bring home a decorated pot and place a Diya inside. There are holes in the pot for oxygen to pass and to keep the Diya alight. It is worshipped every morning and evening and on the 10th day we immerse it in the sea. Every evening people gather to perform traditional dance. This traditional dance form is known as Garba. Interesting Facts: It celebrates the victory of good over evil, Goddess Durga's (Parvati) victory over Demon Mahishasur. Edited April 14, 2024 by Little__Rosy 1

What a great topic you have introduced @Little__Rosy , keep up the good work! A celebration like Navaratri, which spans nine days and symbolizes the triumph of good over evil, truly appeals to me too. Despite never having been to India, I'm drawn to Indian festivals for their vibrant atmosphere, rich history, and meaningful traditions. The thought of immersing myself in such colorful and festive occasions, steeped in cultural significance, is incredibly appealing. 1

Or Whatever Else might interest you all (Any other topic Ideas) Everyone pitch in cause it won't be a discussion without your opinions and points of view. Little__Rosy Posted May 9, 2024 Author Report Posted May 9, 2024 (edited) My favorite Indian dish is Baingan Bharta. It is a traditional dish made using grilled eggplants, onions, tomatoes, garlic, herbs and spices. It is served with pearl millet bread (bajra roti), jaggery, and buttermilk.
