shadowrider Posted April 3, 2024 Report Posted April 3, 2024 The site that comes to mind is italki - https://www.italki.com/ This community seems pretty established and allows you to hire a teacher or make friends and learn with them. Please add any you know of.
sillybug Posted March 19 Report Posted March 19 i've been learning British Sign Language for a few years and i know how confusing it can be to begin learning it with the different regional signs and just remembering all the signs and grammar can be so difficult. there's a course online that is 'pay what you can' (a minimum of £3) for the introductory level, and so far it's been really good!! i have a hard time with my memory sometimes, but the way it's set out is suuuper helpful and you can take as long as you want to finish the course!! it's on 'british-sign-co.uk', but they also have LOADS of free resources to learn the very basics like fingerspelling and such. There's also a youtube channel i love for learning BSL called 'commanding hands'! i hope this helps anyone wanting to learn BSL💛
