Juju Posted March 29, 2024 Report Posted March 29, 2024 (edited) What to do to get this club going again! People are joining but we don't seem to be very active. How about a book of the month, for those that want to read the same book and discuss afterwards? Or maybe a summer challenge since it'll be here soon? Like so many pages for the summer? Whoever reads the most gets a reward? Of course this would be on the honor system, pages kept track of and then show a picture with list of books, pages, author? Just some ideas.🙂 Anybody else have ideas? Edited March 29, 2024 by Juju 1
lillizzie24 Posted March 29, 2024 Report Posted March 29, 2024 I like the book of a month would give reason to join library ill participate if library has it. We are a small town but my library get books from 4 other county libraries. I couldnt the other 1 I use xbox internet so no way to post pics unfortunately 2
Andriel_Isilien Posted March 30, 2024 Report Posted March 30, 2024 Book of the month is a great idea and I remember how much I liked summer reading programs as a teen/kid! I usually listen to audiobooks, but I want to incorporate actually READING a book more. 1
Juju Posted March 30, 2024 Author Report Posted March 30, 2024 @lillizzie24 @Andriel_Isilien I guess the next thing would be to decided together what books to incorporate into our reading line up. Maybe have a mix of young adult, adult? I can look some up and y'all can pitch in a few titles you're interested in and we can go from there😊and we could vote on them. Maybe mix the genres up also. Like one month a book about a mystery, next one about fantasy, etc... Sound good to you guys? Anyone else out there want to join us is very welcome to do so! Just let us know!😀📖 2

Juju Posted March 30, 2024 Author Report Posted March 30, 2024 @lillizzie24 @OmaB @Andriel_Isilien, maybe by the 3rd of April we can all come up with a few titles and share them here. Then we'll do the voting. 1
LittleOceans Posted March 31, 2024 Report Posted March 31, 2024 *Jumps up and down while raising my hand* I'll join! 1
BJZ Posted April 1, 2024 Report Posted April 1, 2024 Suggestion. Thought. Could we maybe do this in another chat app? Would be easier to communicate and simple. Perhaps whatsap, Google, Discord?

Andriel_Isilien Posted April 2, 2024 Report Posted April 2, 2024 8 hours ago, Juju said: 2 more days everyone then we start the poll. Has anyone thought of any books yet? Yep! I blazing through a series Alcatraz vs the Evil Librarians by Brandon Sanderson. The reading level is pre-teen and young teen. It's funny and fantasy adventure. 1

Doesn't have to be the longer ones usually given in the books. And no, you're not! I didn't think about that actually. 😀 I am sorry i didn't answer sooner! I just now saw your remark.🤔
BJZ Posted April 3, 2024 Report Posted April 3, 2024 morning My 3 suggestions 1. new series by Laylah Roberts The series is Harem of Daddies there are 5 total books, each takes about 6hr to read. Ruled by her Daddies is the 1st in the series. I know many read DDlg books and also reverse harem books, well this is the best of both worlds. I love the FML who is always so damn funny and I laugh and cry all the time reading the books. The littles are all different, the DD are all different in how they manage being a DD, they all have their own personal issues that are worked through during the story, there is intrigue and mystery in the books. Being a little, we are all different how we act, what age we are, what our quirks are etc, but the one thing we all have in common is wanting the love of our DD. 2. Mystery: I love JD Robb and her In death series. thus far there are over 50 books in the series and i own them all. FML is Detective Eve Dallas and the year is 2050 in NY city. so you have the main character female position of authority and she is kick ass! But she is also damaged emotionally so there is that level of angst. Her husband Roarke (yes you get to see the whole HEA) is a millionaire bad boy from Ireland and he is Alpha to the core, and they definitely have interesting life challenges. Its science fiction because of all the flying cars and new weapons, new laws and inter planet travel. This is not a series you have to read in order, so they say, but there are pieces of each that are brought up in future books. 1st in series is Naked in Death 3. I love Tom Clancy and Dan Brown for spy thriller novels, they writes novels with characters who jump out at you. I have other spy thriller novel authors who write about alpha males and rescuing a female lead but didn't want ya all to think all i read are smut books about alpha guys 😂. Without Remorse for Tom and Dan's wild Symphony ( a childs book) but omg its awesome and Origin would be the thriller book. B 1
