Phil Posted March 19, 2024 Report Posted March 19, 2024 (edited) Hello dear nice ones, naughty ones, big ones, small ones, and everyone in between! 🤗 Do you have any form of parental controls, monitoring apps, or similar on your phone or PC? I've been 'playing' around with such programs for some time, letting my caregiver/dominant side come out a bit. I have a few littles that I currently control with it: No over 18 sites and no adult games Daily limits Timeouts and early bedtimes if 'necessary' Also 'homework' and such, but that would go beyond the scope here. (Of course, everything within agreed-upon boundaries, nothing here is set in stone) So far, I've tried Salfeld and Qustodio. Has anyone else here done something similar or considered it? Or is looking to give up some (or more!) control this way? Edited March 20, 2024 by Phil 1
LittleOceans Posted March 21, 2024 Report Posted March 21, 2024 This is an intriguing concept. My middle side would rebel and try to find a way around this. My little side wouldn't mind this level of safety. 1 1 2
Phil Posted March 21, 2024 Author Report Posted March 21, 2024 Mhm that is how i feel with 'my' little/middles in there, some feel super safe and enjoy the cuteness surrounding it all and some want to rebell and pout 😁 Same would go for me when i feel small ^^ 1
Little kaiya Posted March 23, 2024 Report Posted March 23, 2024 I don't use my phone when I'm in littlespace as it just doesn't fit in with that mindset so thats a no in that mindset. I wouldn't want these types of controls as an adult with my Daddy as it would take away a type of control and freedom I want to retain. So I guess a double nope from me. 1 1
Phil Posted March 24, 2024 Author Report Posted March 24, 2024 Mhm i agree when feeling little it might not fi that much but for some middles it hits the spot
Phil Posted March 30, 2024 Author Report Posted March 30, 2024 eheh got them on my PC right now... self controlled atm but feels interesting again sorry for the bump, hope that is okay
Phil Posted April 18, 2024 Author Report Posted April 18, 2024 Update: I only got one middle currently still under real control, both his devices under Qustudio But we both enjoy it a lot, just yesterday his bedtime was set a bit earlier
MisterMomo Posted April 24, 2024 Report Posted April 24, 2024 Hi Phil ! I do not have Parental control like the phone wont work.. I do have "Where are you" kind of app so Mommy can track me down. Mommy can also see what I'm doing on my technology and has access to my accounts - Mommy knows. Then, I have an Emulation system (app in my phone) that mommy uses to reward me when I turn off tech on time and use my time for other activities. It's kind of a virtual critter that I can cuddle and play with. I win stuff for the virtual critter if I listen and do what I'm told. 1
Phil Posted May 6, 2024 Author Report Posted May 6, 2024 Oh thats cool! OO Tracking functions are build in the tools i use as well Are you a bit restricted in what you do? This emulation app sounds interesting! We paused the agreement we had, he need to learn for uni but i still 'spy' on him. We most likely pick it up again in future. I am currently looking for a middle or little again that might want to 'play'.
MisterMomo Posted May 7, 2024 Report Posted May 7, 2024 Hi Phil! Emulation app name is Joon. We use the free version. Said I am 4 y old hehe. I guess you can use the emulation app to restrict some behaviors - We use a positive version : Mommy choose missions and When I do my missions, I win. I endup doing more what mommy wants - but I win ... 1
Phil Posted May 7, 2024 Author Report Posted May 7, 2024 That does sound super fun! I might need to take a look into that
Jmeurry Posted June 11, 2024 Report Posted June 11, 2024 Very cool concept, Phil, I hadn't considered that before. Working in IT, you could use something more generic for your entire network. While there are always technical work arounds, a Recursive DNS server with a configurable filter would permit you to block either specific domains (websites) or entire lists publicly available online. The added benefit is that it provides a house wide ad-blocker and tracking reducer. Some work arounds to something like this for littles / middles would include: 1. VPN 2. Cellular Data 3. Leaving the house However, no technology is meant to oppress, truly. Social rules must be established for every people group, and so a combination of the two would form your best outcome. By the way, the solution I offered could be setup on a spare computer in a few minutes, and it's completely free. In fact, two alternatives exist: 1. Pi-Hole https://www.crosstalksolutions.com/the-worlds-greatest-pi-hole-and-unbound-tutorial-2023/ 2. Ad-Guard - optional alternative. Cheers, Jmeurry
Phil Posted August 2, 2024 Author Report Posted August 2, 2024 Hm i would need physical access to do that ^^ So far it all works online
NR_Daddy Posted August 3, 2024 Report Posted August 3, 2024 (edited) The anti-virus I use (Bitdefender Premium) has built in parental controls. Not that I've needed to use them. You also used to be able to use teamviewer (free for personal use) to help others remotely, look at what they are doing, and have unattended access to another PC. I've done that before helping people out in my gaming communities. I guess it would be difficult to have that control when your little might need access in the "big" world, for contacting family/friends/colleagues/studies Edited August 3, 2024 by NR_Daddy
LeftyGuitar Posted August 5, 2024 Report Posted August 5, 2024 It could be an experiment or something to do. I once had a mommy that wanted to put parental controls on Youtube, or have it be Youtube Kids only. Of course that never happended, but I guess I'm open to trying it. I see there are some apps for it, but I haven't tried them.
Phil Posted August 5, 2024 Author Report Posted August 5, 2024 Atm i use qustudio and salfeld again, those two are pretty solid Got two lil ones under control Its plenty fun
Phil Posted September 8, 2024 Author Report Posted September 8, 2024 A small resumee I control a small handfull of lil - middle ones atm, its plenty fun... and very individual it turns out, which kinda makes sense, people are different after all. Its a mix of wholesomeness.. and other things
Phil Posted March 18 Author Report Posted March 18 Well... now its me who is controlled by someone who is very close to me, knows exactly what buttons to press. I feel small, loved and cared for even though it is a tiny bit frustrating sometimes.. no icky websites, safe search, a "reasonable" bedtime, no brutal games.. timeouts "if i need them!" blegh.. he watches over my shoulder, making sure i behave ^-^
xx-Bear-xx Posted March 23 Report Posted March 23 We have airdroid and airmirror so that Daddy can monitor and mirror screen for my activity... it's a new addition so currently settling into it. He also has location tracking so he can monitor my where abouts via google
