Come share in this thread a homemade version of granola that you like. I just started making my own to have with yogurt for breakfast.Β πŸ˜‹Β This is how it came out! I toasted it for a biiiiit 🀏 too long in the oven but thankfully didn't burn any.

Here's the recipeΒ Homemade Sugar Free Granola | MariaUshakova.com

This makes 12 cups of granola mix - 24 servings

Ingredients

1 cup raw unsalted almonds

1 cup raw unsalted cashews

1 cup raw unsalted walnuts

1 cup raw unsalted sunflower seeds

1 cup raw unsalted pumpkin seeds

1 cup raisins (or other dried fruit of your choice)

3 cup regular slow-cooking rolled oats

1 TB ground cinnamon

1/2 tsp ground died ginger

1 cup unsweetened applesauce

1/4 cup melted coconut oil

Β

Instructions

1. Preheat the oven 350 F

2. Place assortment of nuts, seeds, dried fruit, and oats into a large baking dish (14 x 10 inches). Sprinkle in the cinnamon, ginger, and then stir everything to combine.

3. In a smaller bowl, combine the melted coconut oil with applesauce together. Pour over the nuts and mix well to coat everything.

4. Place the baking dish into the oven and bake for 45 minutes. Every 15 minutes, stir the granola to ensure it bakes evenly.

5. Check that the liquids have evaporated and baked. An extra 15 minutes might be needed, just watch it. Take the baking dish out of the oven and let the granola cool completely.

6. Store in a glass container with a tight lid in a cool dark place.

Add-ins

I had leftover pumpkin puree to use up and mixed some in with the applesauce. A tsp or two of vanilla extract came out nice in this as well. I can imagine swapping out the nuts like pecans or peanuts would work. The same with dried fruit for the raisins! There are lots of variations you can do for flavors.
