Kaz05 Posted February 8, 2024 Report Posted February 8, 2024 I don't know how many here in the club are fans of the Borderlands franchise but I thought I'd make this thread to remind everyone that the Borderlands Movie is slated for an August 9th release later this year. With that in mind, what are the chances we'll see Borderlands 4 come out in the not-so-distant future? For those unfamiliar, Borderlands is a 4 player co-op first person shooter (that you can play by yourself) It's got cartoonish graphics and cheeky humor so I thought it might be appealing to some here. I know my little side has a ball playing these games 🤭 1
LittleOceans Posted February 9, 2024 Report Posted February 9, 2024 That’s interesting, not a super fan but I don’t mind the game. Might have to check it out. 1
Champion_daddy Posted February 9, 2024 Report Posted February 9, 2024 Borderlands is/was one of my favorites. I hope the movie is good as I'm not really a fan of the casting choices. I hope the next game is better than the last 2(wonderlands and 3). I think the characters for 3 were great, but the story was kind of lacking. 2

Yeahh I think some of the casting choices were kind of questionable 😅 I think Jack Black might make an okay Claptrap and I liked Jamie Lee Curtis in Freaky Friday but I ain't holding my breath she'll put on a convincing Tannis lol The one I think is most egregious has to be Kevin Hart as Rolland 😕 I can't take him seriously to save my life. Like could we not afford the Rock or something? 😆 Wonderlands and BL3 were low-key disappointing to me. Wonderlands felt more like a standalone dlc (think Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon, Saint's Row IV: Gat Outta Hell) and BL3 was hampered by an 8 year long production. If they hadn't made us wait so many years it would have been easier to swallow the unpolished, buggy state of the game at launch and overall lackluster story. All in all I'm hoping BL4 will be a fun experience and I'll likely end up watching the movie in theaters or whatever streaming service it comes out on 🤣 I also plan on updating this thread whenever we get some news regarding either project 😁 1
