Capri Posted February 6, 2024 Report Posted February 6, 2024 Does anyone here celebrate the lunar new year or spring festival? Do you have any traditions or things you look forward to? 🥮🧧 1

Lucky money in red envelopes and a good feed with family and friends. One year I was touring and I had 3 new years effectively (4 if I include Cambodia). I celebrated regular new years in Bangkok, Tet in Saigon and then back to Thailand for Songkran. Of the 3 Songkran is the most fun, traditionally it should be a small amount of ceremonial water splashed on your hands and shoulders (symbolizing cleansing for the new year). In reality its a huge water fight with water balloons and super soakers for 3 - 5 days. A lot of fun but .......not a time to take electronics out of the house and riding anywhere on a motorbike was a 50/50...... 3
