I thought maybe those that attend or teach Sunday school might like a place to share their favorite or most recent lessons.

Feel free to post and start discussions about what you may have learned in class.

If you are a teacher maybe you could post an upcoming lesson or if you are planning one and need ideas maybe someone can help.

I figured it's the beginning of the new year and everyone is trying to be their better selves so why not the the Good Samaritan story!

This is the Baby version but I'll post the older stuff too. Also lookout for the activities that go along with the lessons

What age level and expectations for learning would we like to target here for lessons?

Is it more along the lines of traditional story with coloring page or activity?

Or are we going full out multilevel deep dive into here's the purpose(objective), then: a game/activity to set it up, the prayer to prepare our hearts, the verse with the story, story retell in own words or act it out, verse from memory, coloring and activity page, re-check story facts for knowledge?

I apologize for my over thinking this. I do teach Sunday School and lead in Children's Ministries at my church. There's a lot of different ways to post stuff, a lot of stuff to choose from, and I'm afraid of being too much. I don't want my actions to hinder someone else's ability to grow in their faith in Jesus. I also don't want to under serve people who want these materials if I have the ability to meet their needs. I do need guidance on this, please.

Thanks,

Amanda

As far as age level goes I would say keep the younger learner in mind here. You can definitely share lessons for those in little space or those that might want to share what they learn with their own kids. We want to reach anyone that is open to be reached.

We can use this area for Sunday school lessons and coloring pages and anything else that you might use for a Sunday school class that has younger members. We can also start a section for Adult Sunday school for those of us not in little space. I would think a deeper dive would be more in order there. And since I haven't led a Sunday school class or anything before I am open to any suggestions about formats and how to proceed.

I would say post as you are lead to post. The way I see it we have never had anything like this space here so we can make it what it should be. A place for believers and non believers to come together and discuss God's Word.

I'm having the same trouble...between homeschooling and teaching children's church I'm afraid I might be too much lol

Just don't overload yourselves is the main thing. Share what and when you can and are led to and I can't see it being too much as far as sharing goes. But please don't feel you have to share or do a certain amount because then it starts to feel like a job, and that's not what I want.

If you post something and it is more than someone has the time to read or isn't what they want to study right then they can scroll by. But the message will be there for the person that does need it when they need it.

Kudos to you on teaching sped my son required special education, I put him in public eventually because I needed help. It broke my heart but I'm always so grateful for his teachers. Thank you!

Joshua 6. Read the chapter.  It's the story of Jericho. For littles, build a wall with blocks, pillows, chairs, blankets, boxes, books, whatever materials you have at home. Put "people" (baby dolls, stuffies, barbies, toy animals, drawings/pictures) inside the wall to be part of the city. Make a special one to be Rahab. Rehab lived in the wall of the city because she was very wealthy. Make a trumpet from a roll of paper or empty paper towel tube. March around your city 6 times quietly. After each time,  lay down and pretend to sleep. The seventh time, March seven times and play your trumpet. Knock over the walls, but keep Rahab safe.

Lesson objective- God accepts and forgives everyone, including Rahab the prostitute.
