Guest ArtyDaddy Posted December 31, 2023 Report Posted December 31, 2023 Hello Everyone! I'm very new here and since it's my big passion i was wondering, are there any little or big people here that are interested in Analogue Photography? What Cameras do you use? What is your favorite film stock? Do you develop yourself? Why can't i find any Acros II even though it's supposedly available? What type of Photography do you do? Is it a hobby or are you a professional? Would love to meet some of you and share that interest and maybe exchange ideas and tips etc. or do some Photography walks if we're close Happy shooting!

The digital medium can be great, but I feel like some effort and steps might go by the wayside in setting up a shot. That is the exact reason why i prefer Analogue Photography, the time and thought that goes into every picture just make them special, sure with my smartphone i can just pull it out and take a picture.... with my digital camera i can take 30 pictures a second, but while they might look just as good, sitting at home developing my rolls, cutting them, reviewing them with a loupe, scanning them... for many pictures that i find special... not the result is the reason but the way there was. Acros II is a new film stock from Fujifilm... i absolutely love their motion picture Eterna stock, 2 of my digital cameras are from Fujifilm, and i'm sometimes crying alone in my room because they discontinued Pro 400H, Rest in Peace my one true love. But so far no matter where i go i can't find it in stock anywhere, been to photography stores in Germany, France, Mexico, the US, Argentina, China and Morocco... not one of them had any at all and couldn't even order it.... Here's to hoping Ilford will never die and they will continue making new color film stocks
