Christmas Eve

Christmas is certainly one of my favourite days to spend with family but Christmas Eve also has a super special place in my heart.

It's a day where my Wife, Daddy and I all gather in front of the TV and fireplace to watch Christmas movies and snuggle on the couch. My Daddy will get me dressed up in comfy footie pajamas, pop a paci into my mouth then I curl into between Him and my Wife.

Throughout the day we have different appies and hot chocolate. In the evening we go out and look at Christmas lights. The reveillon in the evening just after midnight finishing with curling up on my Daddy's chest to sleep and dream of Christmas morning.

Anyone else have any special Christmas Eve traditions with their spouses/partners?

I loved your tradition! I spend lots of time watching movies and relaxing on Christmas day too since my family does most things Christmas Eve and relax on the day. My DD and I have reality families so we have to be flexible. I do have little fantasies tho instead of traditions...good ideas are ment to be shared. I'd love to decorate like a whole room of pink and Christmas-tree, decor and presents too. DD would lay under the twinkles and tell stories til I got sleepy and then wake me up with kesses. We'd make Christmas crafts or cookies and watch fun shows all day. I would do special kesses everytime DD did the singing, too.    So maybe others can do their fantasy if they don't have traditions too:-)

Most of my family is separated from me and/or judgmental, unfortunately, but I have found out that I have some loving family here in MA after moving here 2 years ago, and they've been nice to hang out with so far, even if it's not a ton. In the future, I want to spend Christmas with various portions of my family who are scattered around the states. Just being with them, talking about life, having some good food and drink... That kinda stuff!

Well, I don't have kids/family or a DD of my own to have traditions with. That said I do love Christmas, and tagging along with family traditions can feel lonely sometimes . So, on top of doing the family things (Christmas Eve service and Mexican food). I created my own tradition as well. I watch Christmas movies and snacks. I haven't done it yet. Probably Friday or Saturday. The best part, since I do it for myself by myself I get to pick the movies and all the snacks just for myself!

That sounds nice, doing something that's a new tradition just for yourself. My tradition is just to keep looking for people to love!

I paid my social dues to friends last weekend so this holiday I plan quality time with my family. We are a bunch of nerdy introverts and get along great with each other 😁 Lots of food, games, talking about Sci-Fi fandoms, memes, and sleeping in.
