[Week 11] December 17 - 23

Hello to all of my lovely students!! 

This week, the Winter Solstice arrives! This is the holiday that Ms. Penny celebrates!

As a reminder that after this week we will be having our 2 week winter holiday break! The next homework thread will be uploaded on January 7th. 

If you can, please spend some time with loved ones - whoever and however that looks for you. If you'd like to work on past assignments that would be lovely, but no grading will be taking place. I am personally going to be taking a LOT of time away from the computer so if you need me I may be slow to answer any questions you have. 

Please enjoy this week's content, and I will see you back in school after a restorative 2 weeks off! 

 

 

Art

There are 2 options this week! Design a snow globe, or create a snowman! Use either the template here, or create your own. What sort of creations can you make to show Ms. Penny and the students?!

 

Writing 

Try writing a poem about Winter! Feel free to use the idea below, or come up with your own!

Winter poem

 

W is for wonderland where the snow twinkles just right and the world is still

 

I is for inventory since loves do like to be all accounted for and life likes purposes

 

N is for no. Nope. Nattttta. Gonna do it. Cuz cold winter is for growing not always doing.

 

T is for tremble because shivers come and Christmas too in winter sometimes the trembles are for awesomeness if you just wait and watch or make it happen. 

 

E is for Eh? Maybe those craftiest won't finish or you will try new or again like winter walks or icey art.

 

R is for resilience. Because winter now makes for spring surprises and that means inside must make space for it. 

 

Winter Wonderful Walks in Wonderland Whether Winside or Woutside or Who With. Wet Wipes and Woes Weather Well in Winter…

Oh such wonderful things. I had to look TWICE! I liked your little paw paws maze and your snowflake turned out so so good. Most excellent colorerrr too. I can tell you took time and tried real hard.
