Andriel_Isilien Posted December 5, 2023 Report Posted December 5, 2023 I love the good old fashion chocolate chip cookies! 🍪 2
Quirky Posted December 7, 2023 Report Posted December 7, 2023 Little me loves PB with Kisses. Middle me loves red velvet drops. Big me love shirt bread cookies and uh ...has been asked for that recipe before. I call them SMLs (Shortbreads Made with Love 😁)... Admittedly a big girl read: First, forget to take the butter out of the fridge or freezer. Use two sticks. Try microwaving to soften: look at that sad mess and go have a cuppa. Now freeze your hands and blend the other two sticks of butter with lots of powder sugar. Pro Tip: Got a kid helping you? Great. Give them the failed butter and some ingredients as you work. Let them eat it, paint with it, become little Picasso's just like over therrrrrreeee. Back to the main event: Salt if needed. Flavor by seeing what you still have on hand. Variations include a splash/dollop or pour of vanilla. Mint. Occasionally a lemon drop from any source. Then dump flour in. No that white caking on your nose doesn't make you look like a coke head at all. Keep going. Add away until it doesn't stick to your fingers anymore. Take a break and do some butter absorption on that occupied child here. Make her a Flourchild. Ready to bake: find any clean pan. Drop for cookies, spread and cut in cake pans. Only have a pizza round: that works. Use it. At this point the luxury touches usually come into play. Dog hair for texture. Kid split for that homemade authenticity. Heat kills that bacteria right?!? Bake at 300-365 depending on what your oven was already set to. Check for dryness: form decorative Top dimples using just your own fingertips. Little brown? Fine. Little not set? It's fine. Melted into twill looking hard things? So posh. Keep going. Next up: Just like a top coat of nail polish: dip it in melted butter and chocolates. No need to measure just open the bag and drop a stick in: add more if it's not melty enough. Dip n dry those cookies. All over your kitchen. Dining room. Portion of your back patio. Totally normal. Following all that baking and dipping, hit Albertsons because the teen in your life has taken the trays. Repeatedly. You have nothing to bring. Accept your fate and go eat cookies with friends. 1 1
Baby Girl Miss Amanda Posted December 10, 2023 Report Posted December 10, 2023 I like the store bought ready to bake sugar cookies! They have such fun pictures on them and are so quick to make! Plus they are edible from the fridge! My favorite to make from scratch are ginger snap... but ginger can be scary...it is very stingy when it gets in your eyes or if you don't wash your hands before you go potty...😉😕🤪 be careful be very very careful! 2 1

LilLamby73 Posted December 11, 2023 Report Posted December 11, 2023 Several years ago I found a sugar cookie recipe that I can roll and cut out shapes but stays soft after they are cooked! I love those and I frost them with the Wilton buttercream recipe. My other holiday favorite are my great grandmas molasses cookies. I frost those with the same buttercream 😋 2
