Group Crochet Granny Square Blanket

Hi friends!!! 

I know that the time for this post has come and passed and for that, I apologize!!! But let's work together to make something amazing! 

I am looking for homemade granny squares that are 5" by 5". If crocheting is not your thing and you would like to participate I can even take Knitted squares, or feel free to purchase a square that follows the rules. Once you have completed the square you will need to post a picture of it completed here. Once I see your completed square I will reach out with the mailing address and instructions. Once I have received your square I will add your name to the hat. For every square that you submit, you will get another name ballet added to the draw. Once the blanket has been completed I will post a picture and draw a name. The winner will be mailed the blanket!!!!

Yay!!! So excited. I'm in, but need to catch up on a few things first. It can get a lil hard to step away from a project once started. 🙈🤭

I completely understand! And I know starting this around the Holiday season can make it harder as we all likely have other things we are working on! No rush here let's take our time and do the best we can!!

I would like to participate in this. What weight yarn should we use? If we can try to make the squares similar thickness it would probably assemble better.

Hi!!!! I think maybe if we did a 4 or 5 weight/ medium weight yard would be best? Not sure how it looks for everyone but that seems to be the most common around here.
