So to start this off, I've bought a t-shirt off vinted that was super cute and meant to be my size, but its in man sizing and swamps me 🥺 I has no idea how to alter it or whats to do. Any crafty people who can help?

I would turn it inside out and lay a t-shirt you have that fits on it.

Line up the collar and sleeves as best you can.

Then use chalk to trace the outline of the shirt that fits onto the one that needs altering.

Carefully cut just outside of the line leaving a seam allowance.

Pin it down the sides every couple inches and sew it up and there ya go.

I would also try this on an older shirt if you have one first to see how things line up.

Also if the sleeves need tightening up I would rip the bottom seam and take some material out of the underside.

Good luck and you got this.

Could always keep it oversized, cut the side seam a few inches, gather it at your waist & knot it?

I have done the same that @shadowrider described for dresses, shirts, and pants. Try to line up the collar and armpit before cutting.

Here's a visual

Thank you for the advice @shadowrider and @Andriel_Isilien thats looks like it'll work great.... I'm guessing I'm gonna need to invest in a sewing machine for that. 🤔

It can be done by hand, though my hand sewing skills are too lacking to make it hold up without some serious research into stitch types for something like that.

A machine is always a good investment if you like crafting. You can buy material and knock out a nice warm personal sized blanket fairly quickly once you get the hang of using it. I keep a furry one with quilted lining on my couch to keep my feet warm. I made it over 15 years ago and it's still it great shape.

You can also make stuffies and all sorts of things, Etsy has tons of patterns for making things. The main thing is to have fun.

Sewing machines are a recent invention. Don't let not having one stop you! I have literally stitched myself dresses and tops by hand. You can be much more mobile with your projects 😁
