Request for Feedback - Posting Schedule

Hello to all my lovely students!

I wanted to ask - are you all happy with the weekly posting schedule, or would moving to every other week be better? I have noticed a significant drop off in participation. 

I understand that Big Life gets busy and in the way. I am not upset, I want to make sure this space works for you all. Please chime in with what your thoughts are, and what might work best for you!

I know I get pretty busy this time of year, with the seasons changing and holidays and all.

I haven't been as active as I like because of crazy work schedules and life stuff - I think having every other week would be just fine and probably easier for you as well!

I also think maybe it would be an idea to change the titles to "lesson 1, lesson 2, lesson 3..." instead of the actual dates (aside from holiday specific stuff). People might be more inclined to do prompts in order and increase participation on older posts instead of just what is due this week? This is just my thoughts and may not be what other people think/feel, just wanted to throw the idea out there 🙃I can get a bit overwhelmed by deadlines when I'm busy, and it would help me feel like I can go at a different pace if needed. Of course I know I can go at whatever pace I want, but this is just brainstorming.

I appreciate these thoughts! I could probably add the Lesson numbers as well - the dates are mostly for me to be able to keep everything more easily trackable in my gradebook and keeping things together when I upload my files. 

I hope others chime in so I can make some decisions either way!

I've been really busy lately and I didn't have time to sit down and make this activities.

I must admit that I tend to like more the artsy part of the activities (drawing, coloring...) instead of writing and "show and tell"... but that's personal (my little age is 0-5 years old so I can't think too much lol) and I don't speak english so it's double work for me to try to communicate something. Besides, I'm boring, I don't have too much to show and tell lol.

However, I love this group... keep going! 🐻💕

You're doing a great job! I will try to do more art type things in the future!

I'm trying not to be discouraged, I know we all get busy. I would just hate for the group to go silent after we rallied to have the group created in the first place! 

I'm wondering if bi-weekly would give more flexibility. I'm trying to keep a variety of subjects so everyone gets a bit of what they like. I know the Little littles like the coloring and art, but some of our Middles like the creative writing and sharing portions.

I think just do your best. You could ask for student weeks--say you plan two and ask for suggestions and those can be bonus homework weeks but not as much planning for you: a pull from suggestions. I do enjoy your forum and others here.

I love the work you've offered us so far, life just got busy for me lately. Also, I feel like it was a lot of different assignments and it's hard to keep up if one misses a week. I know we don't have to do every single assignment and can skip weeks as necessary, but I do have the personality where I want to complete everything regardless (I've been saving the assignments I've missed). Some of the assignments are pretty time consuming, so it can be hard to keep up at times if my week is busy. The content has been great, though! I like the assignments that you pick. I will be catching up as soon as I can.

Thanks for the feedback everyone! I am going to be trying out a few new things as we progress to try to find that "sweet spot" so that everyone is happy and this is sustainable! I appreciate all of you!
