Am I really a little?

Hello, I'm new here.

I've been wondering if I am actually a little.

During the pandemic (and afterwards) it became the "cool thing" to rediscover video games that made them happy during their childhoods. The games most people I know replayed (the Nintendo/Playstation stuff) didn't cause any emotions in me, but edutainment PC games just hit me so hard. (My profile pic is from one, Mighty Math Carnival Countdown.)

I've learned that most people who went back to edutainment games specifically identify as a little.

When I first heard of littlespace many months ago I didn't think of myself as one, since my other hobbies aren't childish and retro gaming in general is so widespread. But now I'm reconsidering that thought. The reason is that educational games specifically are geared towards a narrow age range, so I'm probably unconsciously regressing to the target age when I play and enjoy them.

I think that most people would agree that ultimately, it's up to you to make the final decision of if you're a little or not. There's many types of littles, so it can be a little confusing on what qualifies you as one!

I think the sensation you are describing is nostalgia. Lots of littles love nostalgic things (myself included!). Are you enjoying it because it's simply fun, or because it reminds you of a simpler time, or because the thought of being small and worry-free appeals to you?

All of the above are wonderful reasons to enjoy what you enjoy, but it's a little more typical of littles to enjoy nostalgic things for the latter reasons, though we can enjoy things for all of the above.

Here's a very tiny and incomprehensive list of some other questions to ask if you think you might be a little:
- are you inclined to childlike items, mannerisms, or attitudes? Do you like to view things with wonder like you might have as a kid? Is the interest in more obvious things like pacifiers, diapers, babytalk, etc?
- do you have any sort of enjoyment from being in a regressed or more playful headspace? This looks different for everyone or even moment to moment, but if you "have" a littlespace or playtime, you often just "know".

Overall, there's nothing wrong with liking what you like, and the community I'm sure would be happy to welcome you with open arms! But you have to decide for yourself if you think you are a little. It's not something we can simply just tell you - it's a part of your identity, which is for you to decide! Hope this helps :)

Thanks for the response! I do have a history of gravitating toward childish things in times of distress. A decade ago when I was really depressed, I often spent my time reading picture books in the grocery store aisle.
