Why the goose? I thought that reindeers are part of the Christmas tradition, I didn’t know there are geese also ?!

In old times (like victorian and way before) people had goose for Christmas dinners not turkeys. Its coz turkey's are from America, so not common in Europe. Geese are a common large bird in Europe 😁 thats why geese are in the 12 days song but turkeys aren't, song originated in Europe.

Turkey's are more common now but not native to Europe, and as it was a bigger, exotic bird it was probably only richer people who could afford it in very olden times. Poorer population probably still stuck to cheaper Geese. 😁

Can...can you tell me about them? I got two too... a little princess chick that squeezes nicr and one that oh needs loves. He is a little monkey that is missing an arm. Little cross-eyed, but he makes a nice sound when you squeeze him (those PBJs like a heartbeat.) I think he needs maybe some earrings and a faux arm to feel better. Misfit for sure but I...I will find him a place. No names yet if anyone has a brave little monkey and sweet chick chick name ideas, share!
