Guest Miss Braid Posted December 4, 2015 Report Posted December 4, 2015 I like to read in little space, and was wondering if anyone could recommend some fantasy or Science fiction chapter books? An example of a series of books I would consider would be The Magic Tree House series. Any chapterbooks, or any books below "Grade Six" level would be much loved. <3
ANewDragon Posted December 4, 2015 Report Posted December 4, 2015 For Fantasy, I can recommend the Knights Series written by Robert E Keller. I have read the first 2 books, I do believe they are below 6th grade level.

Guest Wholockprincess23 Posted February 2, 2016 Report Posted February 2, 2016 According to the internet this series is sixth grade reading level, so it's AT grade six, but I found that I absolutely love the Artemis Fowl series if you haven't read it. Have you ever used Goodreads? It has lists of stuff like this. I'll link a 4th grade reading list and you can check it out if you like. https://www.goodreads.com/shelf/show/4th-grade-reading-list Of course not ALL of these will be Sci-Fi and Fantasy, but it won't be hard for you to figure out which ones are. However, the two lists below are "Best in Children's Sci-Fi" and "Best in Children's Fantasy" if you want to look at these too. https://www.goodreads.com/list/show/2450.Best_Children_s_Science_Fiction_Books https://www.goodreads.com/list/show/461.Best_Children_s_Fantasy
jellicle baby Posted April 10, 2016 Report Posted April 10, 2016 Magic Treehouse is a very good series! Or Junie B. Jones.
sushishui Posted April 10, 2016 Report Posted April 10, 2016 (edited) I love the Oz books by L. Frank Baum, but they're not very well written in places, so it might be the sort of thing you have to grow up with, as I did. Just about anything by E. Nesbit or Lewis Carroll is also fun. The great thing about these authors is that you can go to librivox.org and download free recordings of people reading them. So if you don't have a Caregiver, or your Caregiver can't be with you, you can still be read a bedtime story. Edited April 10, 2016 by sushishui
LilRaven23 Posted April 11, 2016 Report Posted April 11, 2016 Tamora Pierce. I love her books. I think they're in the y/a section. Good fantasy, good writing, good story, strong female leads. Especially "The Immortals" series. =)
