PennyGoodfellow Posted October 4, 2023 Report Posted October 4, 2023 Happy World Animal Day! For this extra credit - write at least 4 sentences about your favorite animal! 1
Vampiress Posted October 5, 2023 Report Posted October 5, 2023 Ooo I love animals! My favorite animal is the Arctic Wolf! Their ears and muzzles are smaller than gray wolves. This is so they can hold onto more body heat in all that snow! Arctic wolves don't have much contact with humans, so their primary threat is climate change. However, they are the only type of wolf that is not currently threatened as a sub-species. They hunt for caribou, musk-oxen, and arctic hares. Their fur stays white all year to blend in with the snow. 1 1 1
Redbottompunkin Posted October 5, 2023 Report Posted October 5, 2023 (edited) Hi everyone 😊My favorite animals are horses and bunnies. But horses are my most most favorite, I also have more experience with them then bunnies. There is something so amazing about having a horse that you love and take care of everyday, the bond that is created over time is so beautiful and special. Not to mention, of course, how unique a horses personality can be. I personally prefer stallions over mares because of how gentle, loyal, devoted, and loving they are… not to mention their strength, independence, aloofness (yes, this is a good thing), strong willed personalities, and confidence. They can be a bit ornery, stubborn and feisty, but even that becomes so easy to love. Although Mares are much easier to ride and not as challenging to befriend, stallions, at least in my experience and opinion, can (with a lot of dedication, time, and hard work) become your bestest friend, your most loyal protector and quite possibly the best male you’ve ever come in contact with, lol. Def well worth the challenge. Sorry I went over, clearly. passionate about horses, thank you for reading my horse essay 🙈 lol ❤️🐴❤️ Edited October 5, 2023 by Redbottompunkin 1 1 2

LilLamby73 Posted October 5, 2023 Report Posted October 5, 2023 (edited) I love bunnies. Bunnies are smart and they can be quite loving. Bunnies can even be trained to use a litter pan to potty in! If you have a pet bunny, you should give it lots of attention because otherwise they will get lonely unless they have a partner bunny. Edited October 5, 2023 by LilLamby73 1 1

Andriel_Isilien Posted October 6, 2023 Report Posted October 6, 2023 If you can't tell, guinea pigs are my fave! 😁 They are in the rodent family meaning their main characteristic is their front teeth are always growing (much like our fingernails grow). They gonna CHEW. Guinea pigs have a burst of energy called "popcorning" where they hop with all feet in the air. They also get zoomies like dogs do when excited. Because they are prey animals, guinea pigs will nap/sleep with their eyes open. This is to be wary of predators. If you see a guinea pig resting with its eyes closed, that means it feels SUPER safe around you! Guinea pigs' normal body temperature is 99-103 F (37-39 C). That's like a fever to us humans! 2

My youngest sister (actual bio sister) called them "pinny gigs" when she was little so that's what we call them in our house now! I love them so much, I had 2 growing up - Baby lived to be 12! I got her when I was 4 years old and she was a baby so that's what I named her! 1

Someone let him go and he found his way to our backyard. He was hanging out for a couple of weeks before I was able to catch him. He was trying to make friends with the outdoor kitties so hard and they didn’t want to be friends. 1 1

So many people don't realize that bunnies are hard work and just release them or get bored with them! He's a handsome lil man! 1
