I've been doing some minor upkeep on the new version, and wanted to put out a quick update that, unfortunately, Albane's Extra Textures had to be removed because of an incompatibility.

Don't worry too much, I'll be adding way more content to make up for it! ✌🏽

I'll keep that in mind!  I've been weighing my options between PHC and Farmer's Delight, and I've been leaning closer to Farmer's Delight just because I find that it adds more usable options with less overall content, but if there's enough push towards Harvestcraft I might go that route instead.

Well it's finally that time again, my friends! A Softer Time has officially entered the next stage of its life - and it's time to celebrate with some awesome activities! Version 1.2 brings with it a collection of new mods that let you indulge in some of your favorite hobbies and activities while exploring your Minecraft ageplay and agere journeys.

Technically speaking, Version 1.2 isn't entirely done. There are still a host of other mods I wanted to include, but Father's Day seemed like an apt moment to step forward and finally show some of the changes I've been making to the modpack - especially since I missed updating around Mother's Day! So while it may not offer a mind-blowing amount of options to your game right now, rest assured that as time goes on I'll be absolutely STUFFING it with more amazing activities you can share with your little and Caregiver friends!

Whoop, just dropping in to leave everyone with a bit of a mini-update regarding the A Softer Time modpack -

It would seem that, due to personal irl issues, the creator of Caregiver has been forced to abandon the mod entirely. Now what this means moving forward is still a little up in the air. The creator of the original NappyCraft on which Caregiver is dependant have announced that they are going to step in and add folding the features of Caregiver into the development cycle for NappyCraft, but there's been no hard announcement as to what the ETA of that looks like.

For now, I'm going to leave Caregiver as part of the pack, but be aware that moving forward it will likely have to be dropped one way or the other - either when it finally gets folded into NappyCraft, or just because time and age have introduced too many bugs and incompatibilities with other, actively-maintained mods included in A Softer Time.

Hi everyone! 👋🏽 It's time for another surprise announcement! lol

You can plainly see that I haven't updated the modpack in, like, 3 months - and if you've been following AST's development, you're probably aware that due to real life issues and mental health priorities, these kinds of gaps between updates are no stranger to the project. I'd like to take a moment to let you know that I have been eyeing several new mods to add to the roster, but that these concerns have again taken over the majority of my day-to-day life and as such another proper update is postponed until further notice.

With that said, I've been following the updates for NappyCraft and its related mods - the heart of A Softer Time that inspired the whole project - and it seems that the team behind these mods have focused on porting them forwards through the various editions of 1.20 on their way to a 1.21/1.21.1 update without adding any new content to the older, 1.20.1 version. I suspect that the 1.20.1 version is likely to not see any new content, and for this reason I wanted to announce that I may need to update the project to the newer editions of Minecraft in order to keep up with NappyCraft's features. If this turns out to be the case, rest assured - I won't be removing the older versions of AST, only deprecating/retiring them as I move on to creating a sequel modpack. My goal will be to maintain as much parity between the two versions as possible for as long as possible, but be aware that NappyCraft and its related mods have moved exclusively to NeoForge which means that any potential AST 2 will mean migrating to a new modloader and may not include all of the same options as older mods are abandoned/locked in at 1.20.1 instead of updating.

Welp, turns out that I was right - NappyCraft has officially updated to version 1.21.1! So what does that mean for A Softer Time?

Well, moving forward, I will be both slowly updating the modpack to Minecraft version 1.21.1 and converting it over to NeoForge moving forward. On top of starting a new thread for AST 2, this means that all content support for AST 1 is officially over as of this moment. This thread and AST 1 are now entering legacy mode and will receive only those updates as are necessary to maintain their function; which is to say, I'll try to provide what bugfixes I can, but I won't be working on new updates or adding additional content to the pack.

But before we move on to bigger and brighter things, I want to take a quick moment to give a heart-felt thanks to everyone who's played around with A Softer Time so far and given me much-needed feedback on additional content and issues/bugs. I haven't been super vocal about it here, but the truth is that I've had a very contentious and tumultuous relationship with the CG/l community for the past couple of years stemming from my last relationships all being with Daddies who turned out to be inexperienced, selfish, and abusive, which seriously damaged my personal connection to the dynamic as a whole. Seeing everyone be excited and inspired by my work on this modpack has been - I won't necessarily say "healing" and offload my therapeutic work on all of you, but definitely "affirming" lol
