When you don't know where to start as you interact with your little (that both of you have given CONSENT), here are suggestions to try.

First a disclaimer: Each little is their own unique person with likes and dislikes. Not every little likes to be called "baby". Not all littles have to want a pacifier, wear diapers, or whatever common trait we see in the community. Each person's preferences are valid and should be respected. Communicate each thing you want to try to say and do with the other person. Please don't just ASSUME pet names, physical touches, giving gifts, or whatever are OK. Be the type of caregiver that feels natural and right for YOU. We don't encourage forcing someone to change their style to fit in a box. We don't tolerate calling someone a fake because they are different than what you perceive is correct. Because being a 'good' little is subjective. Being a 'good' Daddy/Mommy is subjective.

Innocent ways to make your person feel little:

 Call yourself Daddy/Mommy or preferred "Big" title

 Talk to them like they are little, tell them they don't have to be Big

 Offer cuddles

 Ask what movie or show they want to watch

 Get them juice, animal crackers, fruit snacks, other small little foods

 Open things for them

 Kisses!

 Head pats

 Boop their nose

 Talk to their stuffies with them

 Help keep track of their stuff

 Lullabies

 Check in on them, are they drinking their recommended amount of water, did they take their meds

 Call them baby, little one, princess/prince, or preferred 'small' title

 Monitor sweets intake and screentime

 Tie up their shoelaces for them, zip up their jacket

 Ask them to hold one or two of your fingers to make their hand feel smaller

 Order food for them when eating out

 Push the swing for them at a park

 Bring seeds and foods (that are safe) for them to feed the birds and squirrels

 Invite them to sit on your lap

 Brush their hair for them

 Ask them to draw/color a picture for you

 Give them an assignment to do while you are away. Something with a purpose that can make them feel useful or accomplished when you follow up on it.

 Praises!

 Remind them how much you care about them

 Take their hand when you both cross the street

 While out together, tell them to hold onto your shirt, shopping cart, or your hand so they stay close

 Play with them (games, toys, or their preferred little activity)

 Set a bedtime for them

 When going out, check if they need to wear a jacket, proper footwear, and such for what the weather is

 Offer their comfort item when they are upset (paci, stuffie, blankie, fidgety toy)

 Help dress them for the day or pick out their outfit

 Cut up their food for them

 Hugs!

 Brush their teeth for them

 Tuck them into bed with their blankie and stuffie

 Get matching bracelets for each other, keychain, necklaces, or preferred accessory

 Use a sticker rewards chart for chores and other tasks you want them to work on

 Offer to run them a bubble bath, add in water toys

 Ask them if they need to go potty

 Put a band aid on their owie and kiss it to make it better

 Read to them a storybook for bedtime
