littlescrav Posted June 28, 2023 Report Posted June 28, 2023 I'm really new to the community/lifestyle and I was wondering how others make it work. I'm a stay at home mom with little kids all under the age of 6. Is anyone else out there a little taking care of little kids? This is probably a stupid question, as I feel extremely out of place in even bringing up the topic.
Queenwarriorprincess Posted June 28, 2023 Report Posted June 28, 2023 Girl!!! im a SAHM too!!!! I have two kids under 4. Not a stupid question at all!!! I totally get where you're coming from - it feels awkward, for lack of a better term, sometimes when you're playing with/watching the same stuff your kids do! Or maybe I'm just still getting over the stigma of this whole thing. That's a whole other challenge lol but I digress. Honestly, I've been in this lifestyle myself since a few months before my first was born (so a little over 4 years) although my husband didn't really get on board (and I'm still not sure if he's totally 100% on board) until about two years ago or so. So I'm still figuring it out too! And that's okay. It can be a bummer and confusing but great too. There are other littles/middles on here that have kids as well so we're not alone!!! Right now, I keep middle space separate from my kids. I'm a middle btw lol. Being middle is a part of me though so I'm always down for coloring with them or watching Disney movies, that's stuff big me likes too haha because all of me is middle and big all in one haha. I have my own stuffy that I don't let them have lol they know it's my special peep (it's a peep bunny stuffed animal) and have learned to leave it alone. It helps that I bought them their own peeps just in different colors haha. Mines pink, go figure. So that's how I've done it thus far, haha. Feel free to PM me, I'd love to have another stay at home mom little buddy but no pressure! Welcome to the forum!! Glad you're here 2 1
Lil Baby Stoner Posted June 28, 2023 Report Posted June 28, 2023 I’m a little and a stay at home mom I feel so out of place at times also but when my oldest was younger we watch cartoons together and color and go to build a bear together she never saw me use pacis or sippy cups though but we did fight over stuffies lol now with my youngest also doing the same it’s hard at times but gets easy if you ever need someone to talk to your welcome to follow me would love some little mom friends 2
Nixie Posted July 1, 2023 Report Posted July 1, 2023 I'm a little and have an 11 year old and I've just recently been exploring more of my little identity and now realizing it's so much more of a part of me thaj I thought and now I'm at the point where I'm having a hard time taking care of my kid because I can barely take care of myself 😅😅 she seems to be growing up and I'm regressing more 😹 she knows I'm little (I can't help it) and said she loves having a child parent. 😹 so there's that. But it's a really weird feeling when in little space (4-6) and trying to parent an 11 year old...
Winnie89 Posted July 8, 2023 Report Posted July 8, 2023 I am a little, I was a sahm for 8 years (my oldest was 8 at the time and youngest just started kinder), but I eventually needed to get out of the house. I work full time, but ive noticed, since I discovered the little life that I Little a lot around my kids. Not so much around my husband. He's not receptive to the Little life it turns out and I'm too scared to try and have that conversation... again.
Guest BabyBug Posted July 9, 2023 Report Posted July 9, 2023 My son is 16 and honestly I didn't find it that hard when he was younger. Mommy just like like to play and watch toons with him. I think as a parent we think more on it than they do. Now that he's older and noticing things more I find it harder. The other day he saw me decorating a pacifier for an order and asked why someone would want one. I told him the truth, that some people suffer from anxiety and it's a tool to help them feel better. He accepted it and went about his business. I think moving forward I'll be as honest as I can be.
