Guest Coconut Posted June 26, 2023 Report Posted June 26, 2023 This is my first post and I want to make it a good one! I want to get another bear stuffie to match my big bear but my Daddy told me not to since I’ve been having trouble holding myself back from splurging and wasting my money! I don’t want to disobey him but this stuffie is SO cute!!! >…< should I…???
CodeName: Trouble Posted June 26, 2023 Report Posted June 26, 2023 Hullo and welcome to the forum!! My first thought: absolutely get it. always more stuffies. My second and probably better thought: Your daddy said no, and if this is something you'd like to work on improving I would listen to him... HOWEVER 😁Maybe you can make the bear into a reward? Maybe if you are able to keep up another healthy habit for a certain amount of time then you can earn the bear as a reward? That would help encourage you towards other things, and makes it so it wouldn't be an impulse purchase. This also gives you time to think if that's really what you want, or if you'd prefer a different toy. Maybe bring this up to your daddy and see what he thinks 🧸 Personally, rewards and delayed gratification work WAY better for me than solid No's which I'm less likely to listen to because it feels icky and controlling for "no reason" in my little brain... it helps me either earn things I want (With realistically attainable goals) or realize I didn't really care about it as much as I thought I did. "No's" Have a way of really setting off my inner 2-3 year old and can make me more irrational XD Hope this helped! and again, welcome to the forum! 1
beanbean Posted June 26, 2023 Report Posted June 26, 2023 What Trouble said see if your daddy will let you get if you don't splurge for a while or something like that

Thanks for the opinion and the welcome and maybe a reward is a good idea since straight up no’s make me kinda sad too lol! X+
bigkidagain Posted January 10, 2024 Report Posted January 10, 2024 Since I don't have a parent or cg. But the rule is follow the rules they set up. I would save up my allowance to get it. Or like me now I play my game and coloring on justplay and mistplay to earn gift cards. So I can get my books and little things.
