lilpincess Posted June 20, 2023 Report Posted June 20, 2023 So whenever I needed to relax, I read. I used to always read a ridiculous amount, but I’ve gone back to school, sort of, and I just don’t have the brain capacity for that right now. So I need something new that will help me unwind and turn my brain off and relax. I craft, but my hands are so cramped from writing and typing and all that.
Little kaiya Posted June 20, 2023 Report Posted June 20, 2023 I just got back into rowing with some solid base music playing that I can zone out to for a bit. It let's me just turn my brain off from strategic planning.
lilpincess Posted June 20, 2023 Author Report Posted June 20, 2023 I have been walking a lot more, building up my endurance, and my mind does shut off during that. It’s just tough right now because it’s so hot and humid that I have a small window of time that I can go for a nice walk
StrayKittenNZ Posted June 20, 2023 Report Posted June 20, 2023 (edited) Bushwalks and bicycle rides work great for me. Some greenery, hills and water always make me calm and relaxed for some reason. And good kind of tired 🐱 Edited June 20, 2023 by StrayCatNZ 1
beanbean Posted June 20, 2023 Report Posted June 20, 2023 Yeah music , walking and fishing all help me 1
MissNMTX Posted June 20, 2023 Report Posted June 20, 2023 I'm going to go a different direction. How about music or some self care, pampering time. I know you said it's hot there, but what about baking/cooking? Meal prep! Oh I know! What about putting together a charcuterie board? No heat involved in that.
lilpincess Posted June 20, 2023 Author Report Posted June 20, 2023 Charcuterie board is a great idea! I do like to cook, but yeah, it can get really hot with the stove/oven on, but charcuterie board is a great idea! I do listen to a lot of podcasts and music as well while I’m doing stuff (can’t stand silence). It’s weird for me not being able to go to the normal place I go for comfort.
