Figuring Out Your Little/Middle Age?

Recommended Posts

Hi peeps,

I'm unsure and wondering if anyone may know some techniques or maybe a how to, to help me possibly figure out if I’m a little or a middle and what age my little/middle is? Thank you in advance for any advice you have for me! 🥰

Sorry, there's no magic here. You just have to take the time to sort through your own thoughts, feeling, emotions, interests, etc. Eliminate things as you go and eventually it will become clearer to you.

I used old tv show that had separate sections for kids aged 5, 10 and 15. Whenever I watched it, these were my reactions:

5 - Simple but cool cartoons and interesting stuff!

10 - Oh wow, fancier cartoons and even more interesting stuff!

15 - What is this weird stuff? Why is everyone acting like boring adult? Give me back cool things!

I feel this data clearly shows that I fit somewhere around 10 years old 🐱

That's an interesting method! I can see how that would work for some people..

Sadly, I was a weird kid growing up. I completely bypassed my 'cartoon + Disney phase' and went right to shows about conservation, animals, science and machines/engineering 🤣 as a 2-3 year old I had the same TV habits as my grandfather and still find allot of my little space TV interests revolving around science and learning new things on a greater level than preschool programing (even thou now I absolutely love shows like bluey and the Octonauts too). I think this has allot to do with the since of wonder it brings to observe and learn about the world around me 🤩

My personal thoughts on finding little age:

Thinking about what you like to watch, what games you like to play, how you interact with others when little, and how you'd like to be treated by a caregiver are good places to start when thinking about little age...

But the biggest thing to remember is that this is a journey, not a destination 🙂 It's okay if you never decide on a little age, or feel like you're little/middle age & interests are scattered between ranges, jump around inconsistently, or change over time. It's far more important to learn and know yourself than try to fit whatever wonderful combinations of things that you are into a box or label. Some people find comfort and ease with identifying as an age, sometimes it makes it easier to find partners and friends with similar interests, but being able to express yourself as a unique individual is important too. So I guess my advice is try not to overthink it and just enjoy learning about yourself along the way.

Good luck on your adventure!

Some great advice here already. It's OK not to have a specific age, sometimes that part can be fluid and change. It can depend on what you are doing and whether it's on your own or with a partner. Don't fret and take the time to enjoy discovering and learning about yourself and the little/middle part of you.
