Friends/Followers; Adding or Removing

Once you have looked at someone's profile and decided they seem like someone you would like to talk with you will need to follow each other before you can private message.

Adding

On Mobile

• Go to the member's profile and you will see a small icon that looks like 3 people
• Click that and then click Follow Member
• If they accept you will be notified.
• They will need to then follow you back through the same process so you can private message

On PC

• Go to the member's profile and you will see Follow Member next to their username
• Click that and confirm
• If they accept you will be notified.
• They will need to then follow you back through the same process so you can private message

We use the double follow method to ensure both members are ok with having the ability to send and receive message from each other. 

Removing

1. You can do this by going to your followers list and clicking Remove Follow
2. You can go to the person's profile and click Remove Follow 

• It will alert you that this cannot be undone. Click to verify
• This will not remove you from their list of people they follow
• We are currently trying to find a remedy for this, like a blocking feature

Did you send them a follow request that they accepted and they sent you a request that you accepted? Both of you must send and accept a request to follow before you can message.

If you both sent and accepted and are still having issues message me. You do not need to follow me to message me.

are you sure? it seems some who I approved to follow me but I didn’t not follow them has sent me a dm. It’s fine bc he’s chill but I’m curious about how this works exactly for future follow allowing ect.

There may or may not be a glitch that the developers haven't fixed yet which could allow that if someone exploited it. I would hope people wouldn't do that.

yeah i 100% had someone who i approved to follow me but i did not follow back, send me a dm. 
just an fyi incase it helps developers in anyway.

i do appreciate the sentiment of the double approval system. it makes the spaces feel safe and consensual.
