Happy Tuesday, everyone!

My question today is this: what is a brand new project you're taking on this summer (or, if you're a southern hemisphere friend, one you would like to tackle after winter)? Something you don't previously have experience in. Looking forward to reading your responses!

Daddy and I have built our first raised bed.  We grew some vegetables last year but this year we're doing new ones - does that count?  :D  My project is to start a herb garden.  I'm going to start in containers and transplant them next year.  I've got thyme, basil, chives and lavender to start with.  Super exciting!

@gigisweetheart Yay, bee-friendly!  That's one of the reasons I'm doing lavender, for the bees.  Thankfully we have loads in our garden but... for some reason, we've had masses of wasps this year! 😮

My project is to keep the window well grass I put in alive for my guinea pigs. I'm also having a go in growing leafy greens and herbs for them to enjoy this summer.

@Runa We've had lots of wasps too! I had to destroy two starter nests already. I wouldn't care about wasps normally but I have a dog that is terrified of them after being stung. Also, new vegetables totally counts as a new project! I am so jealous that you can keep lavender as a perennial! It won't grow in my area but I love the plant. The smell makes me a little nauseated, lol, but it looks stunning! ^_^

Aw, poor pupper!  My collie is really bad for trying to catch anything that buzzes so he hasn't learnt that lesson yet, makes me super nervous!

I'm not a huge fan of lavender scent but, yeah, it looks so pretty!  :D

My summer project is to fix up the flower beds around the house. I planted some slightly invasive plants in there 3 years ago and they've gotten a little out of hand 😅. Im also going to try growing mint and a few other herbs in the ground. They dont live love whenever i try growing them in containers.

I love in ground herb gardens! Be careful with mint in the ground though, it will quickly take over 😅 - Worse than any clover cover you've ever seen
